Donald J. Trump is an icon: the very definition of the American success story. The star of "The Apprentice" and developer of some of the planet's most prestigious real estate, he's been on the bottom and risen to become one of the world's wealthiest men.

Bill Zanker started The Learning Annex with $5,000 and grew it into a $5 million a year company. That was before he met D...more

I'm not particularly a Donald fan, and I've never seen The Apprentice, but when someone is as famous as Donald Trump, I figure it can't hurt to take a listen to what he has to say.

I loved this book! It was chock-full of entertaining stories, business tips, and irreverent comments. Donald may not be politically correct, but he sure is straight-talking.

I picked up several great tips that will help me in my career:
-Think big (you're thinking anyway -- you might as well think big!)
-You're never defe...more

I don't care what you think about the man, if you take success seriously, then you must admit that he has it going on. This book really helped me change how I look at things regarding my business and my thought process on success.

Trump and Zanker talk candidly about how they worked their way to where they are now. Being richer than most is not all sunshine and roses, according to these two business tycoons. Both men discuss not only their great successes, but also the tremendously devastating tr...more

First time reading Trump's book as my dad was forcing me to. I was resisting it at first but as I read it along, it gets interesting. Most parts of the book was very interesting and could be implemented in my daily life. The other parts were just not for me and the co-author's parts was absolutely useless. They should've just made Trump's words on the book :p

It's a very fast read especially when there's a summary towards the end of each chapter and some key points to it. Reading Trump's experien...more

This book is perfect for students who like to read business books, and think towards their future life. Donald J. Trump teaches you all there is to know about running a business. He teaches you how to speak with confidence and whatever is on your mind. Also how to think strategically and financially before taking a decision. Most importantly, he teaches you the gut feeling. When to listen to your gut for once because it knows what's right, and sometimes it could save you from trouble. This book...more

I mean...yes, he's arrogant as all hell, but I also find this book very inspiring if not helpful in taking a look at my currently mess life and trying to figure out where to go with it.

I'm not giving this book four stars because it is written very well. I'm giving it four stars because it speaks to me on a personal level and I intend to read it over and over again especially when I am stuck in the mire, feeling hopeless and uncertain and lost and small.

I've got to do what I love, think big, be...more

I had first read a Donald Trump book called "Why we want you to be rich". Though think big has been a more pragmatic version written about wealth making. This book has awesome and audacious writing by Donald. He lays down bare all the harsh reality of survival in business world. The book covers his ups and downs from investing right to loosing money during real estate low time. One really needs to appreciate the openness he exhibits in writing the incidents of his own life to illustrate the lesso...more

OK, to begin with, I'm not a fan of Trump. However, since he has the "success" mindset, I decided I had to read it. Besides, I got it free through a promotion for The Learning Annex (Trump's co-author is Bill Zanker, the owner).

Anyway, one thing that was reinforced is the fact that successful people have a certain mindset. I took the quiz to discover my mindset (I actually already knew--if you don't know then you probably aren't success minded) and I've got it. Do you? If you're not sure (see c...more

Bold, insightful, and straight to the point; The Donald's take on how to 'Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life' lives up to its title. My favourite part of the book was this: "My motto is: Always get even. When somebody screws you, screw them back in spades." At first, I was taken aback by it. But after reading further, I found myself agreeing with him. Simply put -- if you want to make it big, you're going to become a target. People had better know that you're not an easy one.

Reading this book was like having a long talk with Donald Trump, It makes you look at things from his perspective while reading. I found my self Disagreeing a lot with him especially about revenge & getting even..But the stories was fun, you can hear donald's written voice so loud.

Think Big widen my horizons a bit, inspired me when it comes to solving problems, setbacks & attitude, getting involved, using guts, giving second chances & accepting big deals.

This book holds nothing back. Trump lays it all out on the table with blatant opinions, ideas and thoughts about those who've crossed him, helped him, etc. I'm not a huge fan of Trump, the man, but I cannot argue with his success. So in this book, you will definitely find some wise words and strategies you can learn, and also there will be some you can dispose of! In any case, a great read to those who wants to get things moving in their life and be successful.

This was a good book. Quick and easy read. Lots and lots of duplication though. You hear some of the same stories multiple times in the book. Like Donald was just telling stories and then he'd tell you again, because he didn't remember he told you already.

In true Trump style, he does boast about how good he is and how his products are the best that there are and how great a deal maker he is. But I already expected that, as this is a book about Donald Trump, by Donald Trump. I wouldn't have expec...more

Fantastic book. It actually broaden my perspective about the way successful people thinks. Especially coming from one of the richest man in the world, the book provided the way Donald Trump handles his cards and play his game, which is very fascinating. His "kick-ass" attitude is one of the reasons why he is one of the most powerful man not only in his industry, but in the world. Recommend reading this book to anybody!

This is an excellent, concise and inspirational book. I have enormous respect and admiration for Donald Trump; he has accomplished so much. The more I read from him, the more I respect and look up to him. This is a book about life, which extends to every facet of your life. He emphasizes hard work, determination, persistence, and an unwavering belief in your competence. I highly recommend reading this book.

Good advise, just skip all the personal stuff and the prenup chapter unless you need it.
You can read it in a few hours.
I still think real estate is a good investment.
Personally, I got out. The economy is so crazy right now I don't know what to think. Just have a load of money to fall back on and you'll be ok. Stay out of debt. Live under your means and you'll be fine.

Donald Trump walks into Kowalski's Market one day. The man himself: Donald Trump.

Not surprising.

Not unusual.

It's Donald Trump. He wants me to "Think Big and Kick Ass in Business and Life. You just sense this kind of thing--a certain aura or maybe it's an energy he emits into public air. I say to myself, "Why not! Show me the money, Mr. Trump!"

Leave it to, Mr. Trump.

Look, I know how wrong this is but I really liked The Donald while I was reading this book...and then I googled him, read any word that has left his mouth in the past 5 years and went back to not liking him. Still, he has some soul and some good advice for life and business that's worth reading here.

This book is my first self-improve book i ever read. It's truly inspired, coz when i consider about many characters that Mr.Trump said..It's so TRUE.

Surprisingly, what he always mentioned is that..u gotta "LOVE" & have "PASSION" in what u "DO"..It's the KEY FACTOR of all SUCCESS rather than education or any other tricks.

Many points that I can learn from this book..and i'm sure that my life will never be the same..feeling like his voice is echoed in my head all the time when i found some sit...more

I have a different worldview than Donald Trump, so while I agree that one should always dream big and work really hard to achieve those dreams, I don't agree that one should exact revenge on all who harm one or that when starting a marriage one most handle it as a business transaction.

Ultimately, I got the book because I was hoping for some inspiration and I just wasn't that impressed. That is why I gave it a low rating.

It's a really good book that I didn't really need to check on the words I didn't understand(English is not my first language),and I didn't want to stop reading it.it's not about a story about Donald's own success but it teaches u how to think properly and b successful.i love this book

Trump is typically a third circle type personality. One thing I liked about him is the aggression and the ability to impose on the opponents. This book very much details this and how he overcame his financial crisis with the help of very same qualities.
Cynthia
Disappointed to learn that he didn't even read his own ghost-written book. A hard-line tactic of revenge is not my idea of doing good business. However, aside from that, I do like his line of address for working towards building business.

Surprisingly this was a good book. Yes, Donald is egotistical but he's quite funny too. And there are some good lessons to be learned from him.

It's a good book, however, you'll come to notice that all of his books are very redundant. If you would save yourself the time and just read a book by him call The Art of the Deal, you would be getting the gear of every one his books.

What do they care just all about the money. In my opinion isn't how much the money that you can earn but what you gonna do with that ? Think Big ? Without a power how could we realize that ? Tell me if the reality is better than the dream. Trump is trump, let's do something by each our unique way.

This is the first Trump book I've read, so I can't compare it to his other works. The very nice chapter that I learned a lot is from number 8 - Don't Take Your Eyes Off the Balls. The others? A bit disappointing.

The book is extremely short on substance. There's little if any actual details about specific negotiations or deals. This is much less of a real estate instructional than a pep talk. On the negative side it seems to be a forum for Trump to settle some old scores by dissing some people w...more

I loved it! maybe the part of get involved in some kind of vendetta is far from our values but, belive it or not, is part of reality. And it's Donald Trump, what do you want?

The book is marvelous, highly recommended.
Haziq
I think this book is great, full of motivation and advice which i would love to read and i love Donald Trump and the hits tv show The Apprentice, his success, business, real estate, it will be inspirational i perhaps.

This book made me think quite hard about my goals and aspirations, and how much fortitute it takes to make those things happen. One thing I didn't agree with was Trump's stance on revenge, however.
Natalia Luneva
Quite motivational. Liked a lot the beginning of the book, however didn't really like the middle part, when they described how Trump got revenge with some of the people. Seems like half of the book was written just for the purpose of getting even with them.
