Wow, this was better than the first one. What a wonderful love story. Right from the start, we get to see some of the story through Alexio's POV and can really see how he's falling in love. His cruelty during the angsty part was far more understandable than that of most heroes, given what he'd heard. Totally melts when he calls her "Sid". Love heroine's values, although the health martyrdom verged on irresponsible and the prenup was over the top. (view spoiler) ...more

Great follow-up to Book #1.

I actually liked the h/h.
Geez...these three brothers have really had a "bad" start in life........what the hell was their mother doing????? But hey, despite their all those obstacles....okay, it was more emotional than financial...after all, none of them seem to have had a bad time, money wise...and you know that saying....rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy!!!!!!!!!! I so totally believe in I being a tad fickle there!!!!

Sid & Alexio are a ve

Another fantastic book by Abby Green :) I really enjoyed the second installment of Alexio's story- I was very privileged to be able to read it as I won it as part of a giveaway. I found myself in the first story determined not to soften to Alexio as he came across as a womaniser in book 1 towards the end, but found myself feeling very touched by his story and the emotion conveyed within his character plus he was very sweet- I enjoyed both the heroine's strength, and how she was strongly painted- ...more
Ok, Abby Green is back on autobuy. Liked his heroine a lot. May have to go back and read book one now. Looking forward book 3

Hero does have a TSTL moment but there's a good grovel and heroine makes him work for it.

I really enjoyed this book. I could feel the passion that sparked between Alexio, and Sidonie. Alexio was a self made billionaire. Sidonie knew she didn't stand a chance, but couldn't fight the attraction that drew her to Alexio. Sidonie wanted to live out her fairy tale, even if it was just for a day. I loved Sidonie and how she stood up to Alexio. She knew when to fight, and when to walk away with her head held high. Gosh I don't want to spoil the book for you. I'll just say the hero, and Hero ...more

I really enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and sexy and kept me engaged the whole way through. Abby Green wrote one of the best (and longest) foreplay scenes I've ever read !
Only one thing really annoyed me - enormously. Sidonie, the heroine, insists on signing a pre nuptual agreement that ensures she gets nothing if she and her husband ever separate. In my opinion, even if the man makes the money ( and today of course women do too!) when you build a life with somebody your value is not
I used to love this author so much. She used to write great innocent virginal heroines and alpha heroes. I'm glad I stopped buying her books. She became too modern for me.

LOved this one. The tension between the main characters was exponential. What a great story!
really liked book 2, looking forward to book 3.

3.5*. I sometimes think this star rating system is a little random because I struggle with rating some books.

The first half of this book,or just over that, is superb, 4* at the least. The way the romance evolved between the H and h is the stuff of HP fantasy near its best. Once the conflict came into play this became a little more the run of the mill type of plot. Still a good read and a definite improvement on the first book in the series.

Really liked the heroine. She's sweet but takes no crap. Pre nup scene was hysterical. looking forward to the next one.
Harlequin Books
"Green's romance is full of honest, raw emotion. Her hero and heroine are a fiery, yet emotionally distant and wary couple. The swank settings make the story come to life, and the lovemaking scorches (RT Book Reviews)". 4 1/2 stars
