After completing Watanuki's request, Rikuo disappears upon his own ever-mysterious purposes. Fraught with worry over Rikuo, and bearing the new burden of "carrying memories" all by himself, Kazahaya makes a rendezvous at an unknown house--whose signpost has his family name! From behind the wisteria tree appears something even more unexpected...a tiny angel named Kohaku.

With Drug and Drop Volume 2, we finally get some long awaited answers about Kazahaya's and Rikuo's pasts. Specifically, the two boys do something unprecedented in a manga: they actually sit down and tell each other about their mysterious sisters.

Story: When Rikuo turns up badly beaten on the doorstep of the drug shop, everyone recognizes that things are about to change dramatically. At the same time, Kazahaya undertakes

I fell in love with Legal Drug and was saddened when the manga suddenly stopped with no discernible conclusion. So you can imagine my delight at discovering that Drug & Drop is a direct sequel to the series. It did not disappoint. The plot progresses nicely and relationships further develop. This was a pleasure to read. The series is once again on hiatus but should hopefully resume (- I heard from an unofficial source) in 2015. I was able to find scanlations for the first two chapters of vol ...more

Excuse me while I freak out

I was a bit worried about this series picking back up again & where CLAMP would go with it. Not worried now!

What an amazing twist regarding the identity of the drug store owners! And Kazahaya and Rikuo... it's not just banter and bickering with these two anymore, they care so much about each other! Also, I adore the magical realism in CLAMP's work!
After CLAMP teased its fans for a decade, this volume delivers big time. I am so happy with it!! Yes, we're under another hiatus, but they've also done so much more for the story that it can (hopefully) participate more in the Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC reboots. Cannot wait to reread CLAMP's other works

What ... what just happened to this series? Characters are actually starting to explain things to each other? Acknowledging their feelings for one another, even?? Crazy.

Goddamn it, now I gotta read Wish to figure out just what's going on. I should know by now that CLAMP doesn't do stand alone stories.

Delightful and got really interesting by the end but this volume ends with a cliffhanger and there is no sequel as series is on hiatus. D:

Legal Drug was a fun manga that braided lighthearted moments and character development in with more serious backstory and moments in an effortless blend. When the first issue of Drug & Drop came out, I noted that it felt like the tone had shifted, phasing out a lot of the lighthearted stuff in favor of a more serious tone and approach. And in this volume, that shift gets even more prominent.

We finally get a lot of backstory about our four main characters - that is, in fact, pretty

I spent the last review talking in part about how it was good that I had read other CLAMP things recently because of the crossover. as the flavor text seems to be giving it away...

Drug and Drop volume 2 is an Intense crossover with WISH. which is actually a manga I started to read and found hideously boring, so that's always..good. anyway now I have to read wish? but I'm spoiled for it so maybe the tragedy of it will be more interesting.

things happening:
1) HOLY SHIT KEI. she is my favorite??? ch
Oh screw you CLAMP. Did you have to do that. Adding Kohaku is one thing, but adding all that? OMG, I didn't see that coming. Sure, they looked alike, but we all know CLAMP and having people look slightly alike. Urgh!! I am not sure if I will write a review more, as it might spoil it. And man, this plottwist, I don't want to spoil it at all. Gahhhhh. *rages a bit* Still it was good, but it was such a typical screwy CLAMP move. *shakes fist* I should have known, I should have known they would do ...more

There was a lot of plot and exposition, explanations and backstory... For those who haven't read CLAMP's series Wish, they might want to go read it real quick before reading volume 2 of Drug & Drop.

This volume was a feels train for a huge CLAMP fan like myself. I've reread it twice in the day that I've had it! I cannot wait for more (but I'll have to).

While I enjoyed the developing relationship between Rikuo and Kazahaya and the much needed exposition, the reveal of Kakei and Saiga as angels really felt unnecessary and overcomplicated, as CLAMP is sometimes wont to do in their series. Still, overall, I enjoy the overall direction of the story and look forward to the (seemingly) upcoming conclusion.

I love the direction the manga is moving in! Kazahaya and Rikuo are getting closer, we are getting more and more information about Tsukiko and Kei, and there are angels! And then I find out this manga is on hiatus since 2014! Damn it! I hope they start it again soon *taps foot impatiently*!

At last some back story!!!! This one crosses over with "Wish" and we get some history on Rikuo and Kazahaya's mysterious sisters. Been waiting a long time for this. But it leaves it on one heck of a cliff hanger. Hurry up and publish the next volume already!
If you haven't read the original series, you really need to read both vols. 1 & 2 of Drug and Drop before giving up on the series. A lot more info about the main characters comes out, and the beginning of events being set in motion that will cause (presumably) a lot of upheaval.

We finally learn what other CLAMP manga this connects to! But it's not one I was hoping for. Bummer.

All backstory. And apparently I need to start reading "Wish" to get some of the references. sigh. Not sure I'm interested in following this series anymore.
