David Ward
Tellin' It for the Truth by Bill Landry (Celtic Cat Publishing 2013) (976.8). Here are some collected stories from the former host of "The Heartland Series." There are some good mountain tales as well as some uninteresting filler (a graduation speech, a pirate poem). There is a very interesting essay on mountain dialects and a terrifying cautionary tale about the dangers of high water in mountain streams. All in all, there are several Heartland-worthy stories. My rating: 7/10, finished 3/6/14.
