Das heißt für mich, dass der Anrufer nicht mehr der Jüngste ist.&#147; Erste Hinweise, mit Hochdruck setzt die Spurensuche ein. Dabei machen Vorgesetze Montalbano das Leben schwer, aber, es wäre ja nicht das erste Mal, dass der ausgefuchste Commissario seine so ganz eigenen Wege geht und findet.<p> Andrea Camilleri hat schon vor langem eines geschafft: seinen Commissario sieht man hautnah vor sich, man liest nicht über ihn, man erlebt ihn, man verfolgt nicht die Geschichte, man begleitet ihn und er ist ein sympathischer Vertrauter. Glaubwürdig, seriös, gradlinig, ein Eigenbrödler und Genussmensch. Zu seinen Mitarbeitern hat er ein bestes Verhältnis, auch wenn er über Catarella sagt, er bringe es fertig, &#132;nach dem Diebstahl einer Handtasche einen Atomkrieg auszulösen.&#147; Livia, seine Lebensgefährtin mit dem energischen südländischen Temperament oder Pippo Ragonese, das &#132;Hühnerarschgesicht vom Televigàta&#147;, Camilleri stattet seine Figuren mit klarem Gesicht, Charakter, Wesen und Witz aus. Für das Zusammenspiel aller von größter Bedeutung.<p> Der neue Fall des Comissarios entpuppt sich zu etwas ganz Besonderem: ein Fall, der ohne Blutvergießen und Leiche auskommt, in dem es mehr um Moral und die Funktion des Paten geht, die, selbst auf Sizilien, einmal nicht nur mit Korruption und Betrug zu tun haben muss. Also auch ohne Mord und Totschlag nicht minder spannend und bis zur letzten Seite ein Genuss.
