Audio-booked this one. A wealth of small-business information--read in the most boring possible voice. You can tell that there was an update to the edition that you're listening too, because all of a sudden a new voice chimes in, that sounds approximately like the old voice, but a little bit higher in pitch. That voice contributes one sentence to a paragraph or text, then goes away.

This is another book that delivers on its title. It really does provide an introduction to everything you need to know to succeed in running a small business. I thought it might end up being a dull read, so I was pleasantly surprised. It's chock full of tips, suggestions, ideas, and inspiring quotes and stories. You can only absorb so much while driving and listening. So I may invest and purchase the book as a reference.
This is a well designed book that is easy to read. It has highlighted boxes and readable font. It takes the complicated task of building and running a small business and breaking it down to reasonable organized sections which almost anyone can follow the concepts. I would highly recomend this book.
This book covers all aspects of business from setting up your home office or finding a office location to getting a loan or buying a franchise or building you business on a shoestring. It Covers it all.
For this book i'd perefer the analytical reading at least for the first time.It's also usefull for graduated acadmic business adminstration students.
There is quite a bit of useful information for those who are looking to start their first business.

I think, it is very good source for students study, and to establish every SME size
"EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD OWN THIS BOOK!"
This book waas a very readable introduction into starting a business, hopefully I will get to utilize what I learned in the near future.
I feel this book was intended for the new entrepreneur. It scans the basics but can feel almost insulting if you've been in business for over a year. Overall a good cliff notes version or rather can be used as a checklist of things you need to know or search for more information about any given topic. I'd hardly describe it as it's subtitle claims: "Everything You Need to Know to Succeed in Your Small Business." Ahh, if only.
The information in here is actually more than I need for what I have in mind, but it covers a lot of the basics (like terms, for instance) that I didn't know. Very good read for anyone contemplating starting up a small biz in the U.S.
So far, this is uninspiring and has made want to steer away from self-employment.
A very useful checklist of the must does in small business.
