This has to be one of the stranger books I have encountered. It just ended, there was no wrap up, story lines were left hanging, it was just odd. The story itself was good, but there was no closure. I read series all the time, but they typically wrap up the current story line. The main characters weren't really wrapped up and the side story was left completely hanging. Unfortunately, the personality and ambition of the heroine in this story kept me from completely enjoying it. Only till the last quarter of the book did I start to warm up to her. And it was only by a little.

Because she was a reporter she bulldozed ahead into a story with little regard to the hero's feelings. Later, I couldn't understand just what he saw in her. And considering what happened to him before he met this woman, it appears that he had a habit of (view spoiler)

Not a bad story but not sure what the disfunctional family that was mentioned was all about, I was waiting for something to happen to connect them to the main story but nothing materialised.
could not put it down. took me less than a day to read!
