Trust is a dangerous business.

Some people still call Kat Redding by her hunter name: Lady Death. But she’s not eager to see more violence brought to her doorstep. The neverending tide of hungry supes and vicious humans doesn’t change the math—sooner or later Kat’s one-vamp battle against the nightmares that infest Columbus is going to leave her dead. And she has innocent p

Recommends it for: followers of the Kat Redding series
Kat Redding's already hectic life takes a turn for the worst when bodies start appearing, all bearing the signs of the religious zealots known as the Left Hand. Crucified, mutilated; every vampire and werewolf is at risk. She now must race against time to stop the murders once and for all, before more damage is caused.

*My Thoughts*

Blood from a Silver Cross is the fourth installment in the Kat Redding series and apparently there will be a fifth novel releasing in June 2014 called Souls of the Damned. Kat, if you haven't already started reading this series, is called Lady Death by werewolves and vampires alike for her desire to wipe them from the face of the planet. She knows only one real truth; anyone stepping out of line and attempting to hurt her or her friends, will get a s

Kat Redding has gotten herself into a lot of trouble in the last year. She’s been on a path of self-destruction after her brother’s death. She was almost seduced by a angel. she’s has caught the attention of not one but two Vampire Houses. She has Alpha Creepo Aiden sniffing around her to mate with him in his quest for world domination…or at least domination of Columbus. She has made a bargain with a demon, was almost killed by human zealots, and she still isn’t sure how she feels about Jonathan ...more

Quick & Dirty: While the main storyline kept my attention, the secondary plotlines from previous books just served to confuse me, thus hampering my overall enjoyment of the book.

Opening Sentence: Ethan drummed his fingers on the table in a steady staccato.

The Review:

While there were strong hints of a good book here, in the end, I was mainly disappointed. I had issues with the main character and just felt that, in the end, not much happened. I will also adm

Kat Richardson is over-committed. Forced assassin for Baset, watched by the most powerful vampire in the city, courted by a demon, trying to avoid recruitment by Adrian’s wolf pack and still trying to figure out what she feels about Jonathon and his Lunar cult – humans who revere werewolves.

Keeping all of these balls in the air would be difficult anyway, but she has people she has to protect, people she cares about – people who her enemies will be quick to use against her if she doesn’t strike t

Received a free ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Blood from a Silver Cross grew on me, I will admit it. During the first third of the book, I was annoyed, irritated, and I quite thoroughly disliked the character and her Anita-Blake-like constant "I could kill this guy" approach to things. I like protagonists who kill, but only as last resort and with great personal cost. I despise Anita Blake for her constant approach to murder as something simple, easy and not something they worry abou

I received a copy from Netgalley for a honest review. Do not read this review if you haven't read the first three books because there are spoilers.

Thought I had read the first book in this series, but after reading a few pages and no bells ringing, I went and got the first 3 books from the library and read all 4 over the weekend. So, I was deeply immersed in Kat's world. This may also be the reason that I noticed so many issues with Kat. And really only Kat because none of the other characters

My English review

I was so impatient to finally read this new book in the E.S. Moore series! I love Kat Redding and each volume is better than the last, so I was curious to see what the author was going to present us this time. And I must say that I took a great pleasure in reading it!

Kat would have liked to return to a quieter life, but it seems that this is impossible. And now some mutilated and crucified werewolves bodies appear in the city, abandoned by the Left Hand, and

Blood from a Silver Cross is the fourth Kat Redding book by E.S. Moore. I would recommend that anyone interested in reading this book first read the rest of the Kat Redding books, starting with To Walk the Night. This book starts fast, and assumes that the reader is familiar with the characters, so I would definitely not recommend it as a standalone novel.
The main character is Kat, a vampire who hates vampires in general and especially hates that she is one. Despite going against supernaturals t

This is the fourth book I believe in the Kat Redding series by this author and would definitely be best read in order starting with To Walk The Night. Fans of vampire fiction and urban fantasy will probably lap up these stories featuring this strong willed heroine.
Kat is the one thing she hates, a blood sucking vampire! Thirsting for blood and yet desperate to regain her humanity she will try anything even the absolutely hideous potions that her housemate Ethan concocts! Yet nothing changes thin

If you have not read anything else in this series, I would highly suggest you do NOT try to start with this book. I had not read anything in this series and it took me more than 50% of the book to get a handle on what was going on The author does a commendable job of not supplying a lot of back-story which is a good thing if you are and have been a fan from the very first books. It will true fan from skimming a lot of back-story and give them something to sink their teeth into. It stinks though,

I received this copy from the publisher for free, in exchange for a review, through Netgalley.

This is the fourth book in the Kat Redding series. It continues the story line created in book one, adding more drama to Kat's life in the form of problems, obstacles, and people that try to get too close to her. This time around, the Left Hand has closed in, jealousy raises it's head with a new member to the Luna Cult Clan, and Beligral has again made an offer that Kat is not sure she can turn down. Wh
Okay where to start:
1) Loved the book
2) Loved the Series
3) You have to start from the first one (as mentioned below)

This book was much in the same line as the previous books - kick ass leading lady with lots of unresolved issues trying not to kill everything that moves. It was a great read but not my favorite so far, it struck me as a gap filler that hadn't decided which way the series is going or at least won't tell me!! But this won't stop me buying the next one but I do hope we see direction

I need to preface this review by stating the obvious-- I should have read the prior books in the series first. With that being said, I wasn't too lost starting this one, and found my footing relatively quickly. Overall, I like the complex cast of characters this series has going on and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes their paranormal/ UF heroine's to be kick-*ss and feisty.

This book itself was well-written, fast-paced and had a fair amount of unique world-building involved. A great way to

I was not expecting this book to to end the way it did can you say OMG. I cant wait to get my hands on the next one. I started reading E S Moore cause I wanted to read about a good Kick ass Vamp but also has a soft side and this book delivers it. The action in this book was just right it kept the book flowing straight to the end. Thanks for the awesome read ..
