A fun light romance with a lot of heart. The story made me smile, but the low steam factor left me wanting a bit more.

Still, this was surprisingly good. When I first got this ARC I half expected it to be yet another knock-off of Fifty Shades of Grey, capitalizing on the billionaire hero. I am happy to say that is not what I got, but I wouldn't of minded some additional angst and steam. In fact, this was a fairly clean romance (think fade-to-black love scenes) and without all of the four letter w

Let me start by saying that to really enjoy this novella trilogy (this is book 1) I would suggest you read the first trilogy on Sanctuary Island

OK, with that out of the way this is a bit of a continuation of that trilogy, the 3 gentlemen in this trilogy are friends of the hero of the last book of the Billionaire Brothers Trilogy.

The plots are all a bit different but the basic plot is - Come to Sanctuary Island and find the love of your life ... and it work

WOW I was really surprised with this one. I am not sure what I was thinking but I loved this book.. I can't wait to get the next one an find out what happens next. I will recommend this one to everyone.
In Fireside Inn by Lily Everett, Miles is getting ready to get married to his fiancee on Sanctuary Island. Miles enlists the help of his three bachelor friends in planning his wedding – he wants it to be perfect.
Madly in love, Miles is so sure the magic of Sanctuary Island will claim his friends and they’ll find love there that he makes them a bet to that affect. Leo, Zane and Cooper readily accept the bet…none of them is looking for love or a permanent relationship. But ” ‘No one intends to fal

This is the first book in a new trilogy following the excellent Billionaire Brothers trilogy. Ian comes to Sanctuary Island to attend the wedding of his friend Miles (Island Road)as part of a bet Miles has made. Ian will deliver a reading at the wedding and for his own reasons, this is a bad situation to be in. Ian seeks out the island librarian. Serena, to get her help. Romantic sparks fly between them and she agrees to help.
Although this is a short read, there is a lot packed into this novella

One billionaire in love bets his three friends that they will be in love by his wedding date. To win the coveted prize, one of them must stay out of love when the other two fall. The fun will be wondering if any of them will win at all in this new series of novellas that take place on SANCTUARY ISLAND.

I've sat down to write this review several times. On the one hand I wanted to really enjoy this book. A librarian! A librarian getting to have lots of romantic fun with a British Lord! Come on this sounds great right? Except I didn't buy into the premise. Leo is, as far as I can tell, in his third decade. How exactly did he get that far in life without it (his secret) being an actual problem? I mean it. I could understand if this was a hundred years ago, but so much of our lives involve what he ...more

Overall this was a great short read, with lots of angst, emotional roller coasters, and true depth of caring. As a beginning to a new trilogy, I can see just how much I will love the next two stories. The trend has begun and knowing that each of these billionaires will fall to their hearts is exciting for me. Serena and Leo are perfectly matched and when they get past their fears and hang-ups the relationship they can build will be strong and lasting. Getting to see the bond between the men was ...more
It was a short novella and I promise you that it is book one, but there is another trilogy that leads into this one. Did I read that? NOPE!!! so yes I was a little lost but i still enjoyed it none the less. Leo is going to Sanctuary Island for his best friend's wedding but with a secret that could ruin a lot!

Serena is a librarian for Sanctuary Island, but the funds aren't there to keep it going. What will happen when Leo walks into the library and into Serena's life? Well you have to read to fi

Leo doesn’t believe in love and happily accepts a wager to prove he can resist falling in love while staying at Sanctuary Island until his friend’s wedding. When he runs into the lovely librarian, Serena, winning the wager seems less of a surefire bet. But it doesn’t matter how he feels; he’s sure someone as smart and beautiful as she couldn’t possibly love someone with his carefull
Leo is the son of a British Lord, but because of birth order he will never have a title. He is known for quoting Shakespeare and is the one tasked with finding a poem or other work of fiction to be read at the wedding. His first stop when he reaches Sanctuary Island is the library, where he is convinced he can get the librarian to find the perfect passage for him to recite. Serena takes her job as head librarian seriously and can’t understand why Leo would rather have her find the perfect passag ...more

I've been looking for short romance novellas lately as because I've been busy with my own work I haven't had the time to read long novels. So, when I came across this series on NetGalley I requested them instantly. They looked perfect and exactly what I was after. However, this was the only one I was allowed access to so I was slightly disappointed as they all looked so good.

Anyway, The Fireside Inn was exactly what it say. It was a sweet romance

This is the first novella The Billionaire Bachelors series by Lily Everett, and centres around Leo Strathairn, an English lord living in the US, who finds himself on a small island helping his friend get ready for his wedding. In the Prologue we are introduced to Miles, the groom, and his three best friends, Leo, Zane and Cooper and I liked this short intro as I jumped straight into this novella without reading Mile's story in The Billionaire Brothers trilogy. Miles sets his friends a
I have to admit that I felt completely inundated with too much information. I was trying to digest that Miles was a lifelong bachelor who was getting married and then got smacked with four more bachelors who were all after a private helipad ontop of an exclusive billionaire club. It was a relief when the story slowed down a bit and we were focussed in on Leo. The intro was just a bit much. I did enjoy the book alright after that, though. It was sweet, we were gifted with a British aristocrat who ...more
When Brit Lord Leo Strathairn is asked to do a reading at his best friend Miles' wedding on the small Sanctuary Island in Virginia, he agrees even though he is hiding a secret from his friends. Wanting to keep them in the dark, he goes to the local library and meets head librarian, Serena Lightfoot. Using all of his charm, he gets Serena to agree to help him - all without revealing his secret.

Nice addition to the Sanctuary Island Series, and a sweet start to the Billionaires Club Novellas. I always like a hero with an English this was right up my alley.

I am looking forward to the next two novellas!!
I am drawn to all books and novellas that have the some form of the word "Billionaire" in the title. After reading the book blurb, I just had to read Fireside Inn. This is the first book I have read by Lily Everett and it certainly won't be the last.

This story is about four billionaires who are also very good friends. Miles Harrington is the oldest and he is getting married to the love of his life on the island of Sanctuary Cove. Miles professes that the island is the cure-all for the lovelorn a

Love, Hurt, Secrets, Family, Fear, Beginnings, Friendships. If these are some of the things you enjoy reading about then I believe you’ve picked the right book. What’s better then young, rich, spoiled, sexy men with a heart? A woman who can rock their world before they know their bell has been chimed. Meet Serena Lightfoot the chime that is about to ring Leo Strathairn’s bell.

This is my first book by the author and it was a short length novella. As far as novellas go this one wasn't bad and novellas for me hardly ever get above a three star rating. The story is about a man who has found love on this island called sanctuary island. He has invited his three best friends who all have money to the island for his wedding. He challenges them that the experience will change their lives. So the story goes to Leo, he has been challenged with finding a reading for the wedding. ...more
I confess that I am a reader who winces at the word “billionaire” in connection with romance fiction, a reaction even more pronounced in the wake of the Fifty Shades phenomenon. But I have learned as a reader that I can usually trust writers whose earlier books I have loved not to mislead me. I read Lily Everett’s Billionaire Brothers series because I enjoyed the books she wrote as Louisa Edwards, and I was not disappointed. They sold me on the magic of Sanctuary Island, and I was eager to retur ...more

This’ll be a short review. I’d really love to go into why this book means a lot to me, but it’ll be impossible to do that without giving too much away. So, I’ll leave you with just knowing that this book touches a subject that is close to my heart. Leo has a secret, and it’s one he shares with my husband. So, I could seriously relate to Serena with her love for books and Leo with his problem. The one downside to the story for me was that the relationship was very rushed at the start. After it st ...more

Miles has something important he wants to share; he is getting married to Greta Hackley from Sanctuary Island. I loved these two. They each have their own hangups, but Everett does an amazing job of making her characters full-bodied in just a handful of pages. I loved that these two have something that can help the other but they each have to get past their own issues to see it. The ending perfectly brought it all together.

This is an off-shoot of Everett’s series set on Sanctuary Island (involving Miles and his brothers) but I’ve not read any of the others and I really don’t think it is necessary. I’m in

FIRESIDE INN: Are Unattached Flings Even Possible?

E-Galley provided by publisher via Net Galley for review purposes. No remuneration was exchanged and all opinions presented herein are my own.

Though steamy and suggestive, this story is surprisingly tame. While I liked the relationship development, and the way the hero’s deep dark secret was treated was sensitive and empowering but the secret itself struck me as fairly unrealistic. I

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn't the WORST story I've ever read, but it wasn't great.

The gist: Miles Harrington is getting married. He makes a wager with three of his friends, Leo, Connor, and Zane. He's pretty positive that his three bachelor buddies will find love by the time he gets married. Fireside Inn is Leo's story. Miles asks Leo to do a poetic reading at the wedding. When Leo arrives on Sanctuary Island for the wedding, he goes straight to

I was very happy when I received an ARC copy and couldn't wait to read it because it contained my favorite word " Billionaire".

Call me crazy, but I love the story of Cinderella and Prince Charming:)

To start of with this is my first book by Lily Everett,so even though this book has connections to another series, it is a standalone.

I loved the prologue, the mysterious way Miles decides to help his friends find their other halves and lu
