In these well-crafted poems, Donna Vorreyer lets us know what it's like to be unable to have a child. I've read lots of poems about motherhood, pregnancy, and lactation, but far fewer about infertility. The grief expressed in the poems is all the more poignant because it is offered without self-pity.
