“Protecting the Widow's Heart” by Lorraine Beatty is the first book in her Home to Dover series and the third book with the Durrant siblings, this time with Tyler, the last Durrant sibling to find love. This book focuses on fear for both the hero and heroine, along with the reason and how it is resolved.

This is the 3rd book in the Home to Dover series and my first read of Lorraine Beatty's work. I had not read the first two books, which focus on the Durrant siblings, but this can be read as a stand-alone novel. Ginger and her son, Elliott, are driving across the country to her mother's home when her car breaks down in Dover, MS. Recommends it for: everyone that has let fear take over their lives and think that God does not love them
WOW!! what a fantastic read!!! I loved this book...a great story giving us the inspiration and knowledge that we need to know that God really does love us! and that bad things happen to good people. Thanks Lorraine, for reminding ME how quickly I forget the Lord's faithfulness and let fear rule MY life, thus blaming God for the events. Thank you so much for sharing your God given talent of writing with all us readers and giving God the Glory! Love, light and blessings to you.

"Beatty's characters show the reader that fear can hold us back from finding peace in God's plan for our lives. Young Elliot's faith is a refreshing reminder". (RT Book Reviews, rated 4 stars)
