Just Friends. Is it even possible for men and women to be “just friends”? I don’t know about that, but I’m skeptical. It might be possible to just be friends if you are both single or if you are “couple friends.” What about if one is single and the other is not? I am thinking that two females vying for the attention and affections of one man, even if he is truly only having a romantic relationship with one of the women, is destined for Doomville. I for one would not keen on my man hanging out on...more

If you want a short, fun, flirty, hot, sexy read then Jilted should be added to your TBR.

Jilted is the story of two best friends, Brett and Amy. Best friends since they were kids they now own a dance studio together where they both teach. Amy has always had feelings for Brett but she has always kept them to herself. Brett never thought of Amy as anything more than a friend but he starts to look at and think of Amy differently. Then as luck would have it, he gets called to be on Dancing with the...more

**I received a free copy from the Author for an honest review.**

Story is light and fun. It's a cozy, friends-to-lovers romance with some steamy love scenes. Lots of passion and intensity.

Amy and Brett are dancers, and they own/teach at their studio. They've been friends since school days, and although they never crossed the line, the two of them secretly are in love with one another. Neither one wants to risk their "best friendship" for love in fear that it won't work out and not only would they...more

Two words: Hawt Brett! Amy and Brett have been friends since childhood, and have both had horrid luck with relationships. Why they’ve never thought that they should be together is beyond me, but they haven’t. Brett has scored a job on Dancing with the Stars, and has met the love of his life Vanessa. Now, after 6 months of dating, they have decided to get married…next weekend. My first thought was “oh shit, she’s pregnant...more

Jilted is an enjoyable read. I was attracted to it because I'm a sucker for best-friends-to-lovers stories. They're usually very sweet and toe-curling, and I think Jilted had a bit of that.

I would have loved to have read more about Amy and Brett on the dance floor. I think them training kids to dance could have made a lot of sweet scenes between the two.

Vanessa, the fiance who jilted Brett, was pretty inconsistent for me though. She first appeared vapid, what with her giving Amy the evi...more

Although Jilted is a shorter read, it packs a heavy punch with it's storyline. We quickly get to know Amy and Brett as the lead roles and that they've been friends since they were little. We get both of their POVs throughout the book which helps us to understand what each other is wanting, thinking, and feeling. Knowing this was a shorter read, I think the speed at which the story progressed was fitting. Kara didn't leave m...more

Amy and Brett have been friends since they were kids; and their friendship has withstood the test of time. But can it withstand Brett's fiancée, Vanessa?

Brett Hudson has often wondered what it would be like to be more than Amy's friend, but when he's chosen as the newest professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, he meets Vanessa, one of the shows costume designers and it's a whirlwind romance that ends in a wedding proposal. As the big day draws closer, Brett begins to think that marrying V...more

Kara Leigh Miller never fails to impress. Another fantastic and engrossing read.

I loved the characters from page one. Amy and Brett are the ideal couple. It seems like everyone but Amy and Brett can see that. Kara Leigh Miller has you experiencing a range of emotions as Amy and Brett experience the ups and downs of true love. I couldn’t put this book down.

Another original story complete with more than its fair share of hot sex. If you haven’t read ‘Jilted’, what are you waiting for?

Copy provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great friends to lovers story. Amy and Brett met as kids and Amy has been in love with Brett since day one. Brett doesn't realize he has feelings for Amy until his fiancée leaves him at the altar. Brett takes Amy on his honeymoon where their relationship evolves. The chemistry between Brett and Amy is great.Of course everything can't be perfect and there is some drama when they return. This was a relatively quick and steamy rea...more

I did enjoy this book, I liked the idea of it and really liked the main characters to, but I think the reason that I have given this just 3 stars is because the book just felt to rushed for me.
Other people may enjoy it and may even like it more than I have but it was just far to rushed for my liking.

I'd like to thank the author for sending me this book for my honest review. I did enjoy this book. It was hot and steamy and I liked the interaction between the two main characters. Even though I knew what was going to happen, I still enjoyed the ride.

Born and raised in the small town of Mexico, New York, Kara was an only child who was forced to find ways to entertain herself. Playing make believe with her Barbie dolls and stuffed animals was her first real taste of storytelling before she became old enough to develop a love affair with the written word.

In early 2010, Kara picked up her very first erotic romance novel, and she was instantly hoo...more
