One look from Savannah Rae was all it took for Tate Connors to fall.

From the first moment he laid eyes on her, his world was irrevocably shaken. He’s willing to accept that his life will never be the same again, but when she has to leave for New York the distance becomes more than either of them expected.

Tate is left alone with not only an empty bed but also a thousand tho

Jessica's Book Review
Breathless is book #1.5 in the Breathe Series by Rachel Brookes. This time around, it’s Tate's turn to share his thoughts & feelings with Breathless being in his POV. I LOVE when series switch POV’s so I know what both sides are feeling and thinking. Tate is a deep man. He has a giant heart with good intentions but has fears that sometimes make him do things or act out like he shouldn’t.

As we know from the ending of Just Breathe, Savannah is pregnant with Tate's baby and now playboy Tate wa

Breathless (Breathe #1.5) continues with Savannah and Tate working on their relationship. Please do not read this review if you haven't read the first book in this series, include minor spoilers that should be avoided.

Savannah learns that she is pregnant and Tate started to have some insecurities about being a dad. He doesn't want to be like his father and want to be loving but he is afraid that he might never be that. He might

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is book 1.5 in the Breathe series.

This is in Tate's POV.

Just as Savannah and Tate begin to think that maybe they can make things work, jealousy gets in the way on both of their parts. They both make decisions that will effect their relationship and they both have to figure out if fighting for this is what they want or do they just want to walk away?

Rachel does it again. She left me wanting more. I love

Recommends it for: those that like twentysomething love stories.
I have to say, I enjoyed this book better than the first book in this series. This time Tate and Savannah's romance is told from Tate's POV. Tate is a man with much more substance than we saw in the first book. He is really trying to be a better man for Sav and Jellybean. Hard as he tries, he still is seems to get himself into trouble with his big mouth. Plus his ex-girlfriend and his former friend, Blake, don’t help the situation. I felt bad for the poor guy, as he just can’t seem to catch a br ...more

The book starts out from the POV of Tate Conners....yep, the Tate Conners that makes all women who cross his path swoon...Tate is working on getting things straight in his life so that he can make a good life with Sav....but things go wrong almost from the start...this "novella" is the story as he tells it and of course it was much too short! I liked the characters even more as they developed throughout this story and I enjoyed

Breathless is a second book in a series. I would not recommend it as a stand alone. I recommend you read Just Breathe first as Breathless is a continuation of the story. HOLY CLIFFHANGER!!!! When I started reading this book I so totally didn't envision this ending. Needless to say I still enjoyed the story. Tate and Savannah are totally in love, she's pregnant with his baby but just left for a month long working trip to New York. Tate doesn't know h

Of course. Another 5 stars for my Aussie sister. Amazing. Simply amazing. Tate's POV just makes my heart smile. I loved him before but I love him even more now. His love for Sav is endless. It shows no bounds. He would walk through fire just so she would know he loved her. Sav's letter she read him made me cry. How he finds her sexy with her little baby bump. I need my husband to swoon over me like Tate does Sav :) I will not spoil the story for anyone. But OMG!!! MUST READ!!!

Wow, much more enjoyable than the first one.

I think what made it great was the fact that I finally got into Tate's head. This helped me understand where he was coming from and how much he did care about Sav and why he had such conflicting emotions about their relationship. I liked that I got to see him in another light.

In this installment, Tate and Sav continue to fight the obstacles thrown at them. Although they had made some progress in their relationship, they still had some issues to deal w

This novella is short and sweet.

It's told from Tate's POV and let me tell you, it's nice to read his thoughts.

The man has fallen for Sav and he will do everything to keep her. Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with them as a couple and breaking them up is their mission.

I'm always happy to read the male POV. It makes me like the character much more.
I do think that Tate and Sav have to work on their communication skills and their tendency to jump to the wrong conclusion. They also need to t

Loved this book as much as the 1st book in the series. Once again didn't put it down till I finished it!

Was interesting to read from Tate's perspective and although he isn't completely innocent in all aspects of his life I did want to shake Sav every time Chelsea reared her ugly head & made Sav question everything. I would like to say any sane person would tell Chelsea to bugger off right off the bat, but real life doesn't work that way & Rachel Brookes has done an amazing job of showing
oh boy rachel brookes does it again i am so in love with savannah and tate.

Now in breathless savannah and tate are happy for a while till a accidebnt takes savannah and there son away from tate all the way back to australia where Mr Davenport has been taken to hospital.

Savannah stays there for quite awhile and it is very hard on tate who needs his rock i laughed i cried and i wanted to scream it is such a beautiful way to see two people who are each others soul mates and rocks to go through this

Our novella starts where book #1 leaves off. Tate is watching the taxi taking Savannah away to the airport. All he can think is that he will not be able to survive the month Savannah will be spending working in New York.

Tate tells us his point of view throughout this part of the story. He is so insecure as to his ability to love and hold on to anyone. He is haunted by thoughts that anyone he loves leaves... just like his father left, Candice dies, Sarah cheated and left him... will Savannah leav

I gave this book a 3.5 it was a lovely story, but. Found that Tate and Sav still acted like a couple of teenagers, both having communication issues with one another. Their chemistry is electric when they are together, but when they aren't they question everything. Trust is a major factor and possession for Tate who is still struggling with his constant lack of self worth. He still struggles daily for his fathers abandonment and now wants to find his father and ask him why. He doesn't want to do ...more

The story:
While this is a novella, because the characters and their story is already developed, it doesn't lack the depth that short stories so often do. We pick up the story right where Just Breathe ends. Savanna is leaving for months work in New York & they both struggle with the separation. On top of that Tate & Sav are getting their heads around the fact that they will soon become parents - and idea that is much more difficult for Tate to com

I just want to start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE male POVs!! So, I was beyond excited when I found out Breathless was going to be narrated from TATE’S point of view! Squeee!!! And boy oh boy, I was NOT disappointed. In fact, Rachel Brookes managed to make me fall even more in love with him! I, once again, fell victim to the #TateConnorsEffect.

Two words that you will not forget after reading Breathless by Rachel Brookes is Tate Conners. I read Just Breathe a while back and fell completely in love with Tate and Sav. I was far from disappointed when I read this book and my only complaint would be why couldn't it of been longer. It did feel like I got more then I would expect from a novella. In all honesty I'll take as much and as little of Tate and Sav that I can get. Their love story is unique. The passion between them has not sizzled ...more

“A guy liked seeing that he can make his girl happy and shaky on her feet.”

The story started with Sav’s departure to New York. The spotlight now was on Tate. We had a glimpse of his past at Just Breathe; at Breathless, he will unveil every bit of who was and who is Tate Connors.
Will his past be only a part of his past? Or will it resurface yet again?
Will it ruin or strengthen his relationship with Savannah and Jellybean?
Will his fear consume him or will he fight it?

Tate Connors man whore hasn’t done the relationship thing in years. Not since he found his best friend having sex with his girlfriend that was it for him. His new motto: trust no one. Now he is in love, solely devoted to her and they are going to have a baby. Wow that’s a lot to handle for a re

Breathless is the perfect name for this book, because that is how it left me, completely and utterly BREATHLESS.
Rachel Brookes has a way of making her characters come alive, they totally suck me in to their story and lives. Her writing in my opinion is one far more advanced than her 2nd book, she makes me feel something for these characters. Tate and Sav ripped my heart out in this book, there was a number of times where I had to take a little break because they get intense and I love it. I love

Tate and Sav work though their issues, and are finally on the right track for a life together with jellybean (love that nickname!). He has an attitude, and a bit of a temper. Tate and Sav were left with quite a bit to think about at the end of Just Breathe. You can actually read an interview I did with them here. Breathless by Rachel Brookes is a continuation of her Breathe Series. This time around, the author dives into the male point of view and let’s us into the complicated mind of Tate Connors. Savannah Rae has flown across the country for her job, leaving Tate alone and feeling as if a part of him is missing. This story follows Tate as he tries to cope with his surfacing insecurities and doubt as the distance tests their relationship and commitment to one another.

For those of you who have read Just Breathe, Breathless begins where JB finished and this novella is told in Tate’s POV. Rachel has done a fantastic job of delving into Tate’s head, giving us all he has and his inner thoughts on his relationship, on jellybean, on his past, his future and the present. Rachel is consistent in writing from a guys POV and she does a damn good job too!

In Just Breathe, Sav is off to spend a month in the New York office and that is exactly where Breathless starts, just

After reading Rachel Brookes' debut novel Just Breathe, it's safe to say I was hit by the Tate Connors Effect pretty hard, and I was absolutely desperate to get my hands on anything more that this new author had to give this series. So when I found out that Tate was getting his own novella - a short book that was entirely from his POV, there was flailing!

I’m so lucky to be friends with Rachel and she has shared Tate & Sav’s journey with me. Breathless lived up to my expectations and beyond.

I'm going to start this review by saying that Tate and Savannah frustrate me beyond belief! Truth be told I kinda love it but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. These two are a train wreck of emotions sometimes but watching them find their path in life together is so much fun. Sometimes it's agonizing fun but overall, it's still fun.
