Plot Outline
Amanda Benson, twelve –year old, and her younger brother, eleven-year-old Josh, are moving with their parents to a new neighbourhood called Dark Falls. Although Dark Falls is no more than four hours away from their old home, Amanda and Josh are very upset about the moving. Perhaps this is because the move happens rather suddenly. Only a week before, their father received a letter from a lawyer informing him that he had inherited a huge old house from a great uncle named Charles. ...more

this is the very first goosebumps i ever read. i remember seeing the entire collection in the library and i told myself that i wanted to read the first one just in case i didnt like it. it may seem like a 4th grade book to read even when youre not in the 4th grade but who cares its a great series and i still sit back and read some the goosebumps books.
this book was about a family moving into a new neighborhood and a new home not knowing that theyre home was haunted. many people tried to warn...more

I read the series religiously as a kid, but I remembered liking this book the best of all. Re-reading it this summer, I realized that it was a horribly written story. Half of the chapters had fake cliffhanger endings and the plot itself was just plain bad. Maybe I liked it as a kid, but it was pretty pathetic last I checked. I don't dare read any of the others again after this disappointment.

i like this book when im in junior high school. Goosebumps was booming that time.everyboy read these series everywhere. Indonesians are always love horror stories no matter what. R L Stine was my favourite author. his job is not as heavy as advertising job. pekerjaan ini ga menuntut banyak sekali waktu dan pemikiran. dan yang paling penting

Goosebumps paling seram dan tamatnya... setidaknya bagus.

Lumayan lah, bacanya waktu smp jadi rada serem dikit.
Ceritanya sih mengenai keluarga yang pindahan ke sebuah komplek, tapi banyak keanehannya yang terjadi. sampai diketahui bahwa ternya itu komplek orang mati (komplek kuburan kali ya :) ).

I remember reading this book back in third grade. This is probably the first book I read in my life that I have a clear memory of. This book is really what starts me reading the whole series. Not the whole series but like the first 80 books.

I just read this last night during as nostalgia attack. I wanted to complain about how juvinile the writing was, but it was in fact written for people much younger than I. After I remembered that, I was able to enjoy it.

This is a cute, trying-to-be-scary-but-not-really book. I mean it is for younger readers but it was still good. It was also really short. I still think it is an okay book.

I'm just adding this one to my list, even though I think I read every book R.L. Stine had ever written as of 1994 or something like that. It was a phase I went through.

I read (and owned) so many of these books. Stine was definitely one of my favorite authors. He introduced me to the horror genre.

The ONLY good Goosebumps book ever. Don't dare judge me, it's a fact; it's science.
