I've been reading about the Russian Revolution for more than 15 years, and I've just discovered E.H. Carr, who wrote a 15-volume history of it. This book is a short survey up to Stalin's forced collectivization. I'm looking forward to other books by Carr.

For a short history (191 pages), Carr packs in a lot of information. A great and unbiased introduction into the early years of Revolution.
