This was far better than May's sequel, IMO, and I actually quite enjoyed it and the little rhyme scheme was fun rather than annoying. The original 1939 story--in this edition highlighted by new illustrations. I kept waiting to see the lyrics to the song but guess what--they aren't in the book. May be good to know if that is what the patron is hoping to see in this title.

I learned the origin of this story and was surprised.
Found a 1967 copy written for Montomery Ward originally published in 1939 for their Chrismtas advertising. Intereseting to read the history of the story at the front of this copy.
You know the story, this is a well-illustrated version.
