Chocolate thoughts will satisfy any reader’s craving for bitter realizations, sweet love, and subtly salty revelations. S. James Guitard takes you on a journey through the mind of a black man in a way that will leave you restless until you open this book and take that same journey again! It’s not a book you read once and then place on a shelf. It’s a book that you will read over and over again. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I bought this book with the naivity that it would give me real insight as to what black men want in a woman, think of women, etc. But in reality it was very vague and in poetry format. It was a great read, but my expectations were all wrong. I think it was buyer's error and not the author's error. Afterall, it does say "Essays and Poetry". LOL Kudos to S. James Guitard
