Actually the first Phoenix Book I ever read and what brought me into the world of Gold Eagle books. At 13(when I first read it) I was instantly drawn by the characters and wanted to know more. Now, when I re-read this book it still has good moments and some not-so good ones but the good ones IMHO still outweigh the bad.

The team is split up for a period while Katz leads McCarter and Manning into Russia to see why Cheyenne, Wyoming exists there. It's an interesting experiance. The escape is of co
