I could never warm up to either of them, never really understand what motivated them to have feelings for each other, never mind be the loves of each other's lives. I live in hope, ...more

Excellent. Just enough angst to make you root for the characters and want more!

Great story

I like this book because it clearly shows several things...money doesn't ensure happiness, families are dysfunctional no matter what income levels, and coming out in public about being gay is stressful for everyone. Eric is rich, Nick isn't. These two men fall in love during college and it's not easy sailing. Stress from Eric's parents, jealousy from Ally who loves Nick, and Nick's inability to tell his parents all are long term stressors. There's a huge jump in the story which is quit

If you're looking for epic sci-fi, fantasy, or historicals, that's not me. Contemporary all the way, baby!

However, if you're looking for down to earth, complicated characters dealing with real-world problems (and the occasional comfort read!), I might just fit the bill. :)
