Freshman year in high school is tough enough without another ghost in the mix.
Ghost handler and high school freshman Heather Tildy seems to have it all—an older sister who is popular, a hot guy who deemed her date-worthy over the summer, and coursework just hard enough to keep her parents, administrators, and college admissions counselors happy. But as the school year begi

Terrific fourth installment in a fun, paranormal, chick-lit series

Heather Tildy has a much more stressful than normal transition from middle school to high school as she begins her freshman year, because she is a ghost handler who is in between assignments and wide open to be latched onto by an opportunistic ghost. Up until the moment the ghost Heather is currently wrangling fulfills what it is hanging around for and moves on, no other ghost can make demands on Heather. But once that ghost is go

I received this book free from Pocket Books in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.

Haint She Sweet is basically about a teenage girl who has the ability to see spirits and assist them in passing over to the other side. In the southern US, these restless spirits are called haints. Of course, the haints that Heather deals with make her life a living hell. They cause her all kinds of grief. And as you can imagine, being a freshman in high school that is no easy

As a quick side-note before I begin my actual review- I just felt it only fair to mention that I had not read the previous three books in series, yes, definitely a major "uh-oh" moment for me. I accidentally requested via Netgalley thinking it was the first book in a seemed-totally-awesome-sounding series. It's actually the fourth. Yeah, my glasses must not of been working that day. I don't know if I've mentioned before, but unless books are stand-alone types(and even then it's iffy) I don't ...more

i love these young adult books! I have to switch up what i read or i will get into a reading funk..

this book is about a girl named Heather who is a freshman in high school. Already she has to change for her sister. Her sister wants to win homecoming court and what Heather does will reflect how the votes come in. Oh did i mention that Heather can see and talk to ghosts? Over the summer she helped 5 ghosts pass over. Now she will

I really wish this Ghost Handler series would get more attention. Maureen Hardegree has created a compelling character in Heather Tildy, a socially awkward young teen whose ghost troubles threaten to unravel her precarious relationship with...well...everyone. I was stressed through most of this book because I empathized so much with her, and I only began to relax when things began working out. It's nice to see Heather's relationship with her sister, who had formerly been quite cruel, evolve into ...more

Heather's life isn't an easy one even if all it did contain was high school , boys , friendships and dates. But that's not all Heather's life contains - she also has the ability to see and hear ghosts and nowhere is safe . Now with Freshman year starting and Heather is not only reeling from the departure of ghost Jack but also the mini breakup of summer boyfriend Zac she is ready to start Freshman year and focus on trying to be normal. However, that's not an easy task when her older sister ...more

Although Georgia author Maureen Hardegree concedes to having all the usual baggage of a middle child, she is NOT a ghost handler. She does, however, believe in connecting to her inner teenager and in feeding her active imagination-it likes Italian food and chocolate. When she's not writing, she's working on costumes for the Northeast Atlanta Ballet . . . or doing the bidding of her husband, ...more
