The Sons of Brigham

Rate this book
Who were the men who contributed to the inception and growth of Brigham Young University? The struggle to keep the school operative is a heroic tale and only the revealed lives of some of these educational pioneers could adequately tell this story. The biographies of these instrumental men are presented in alphabetical order for easy reference. The index covers both names and subject matter for further use of reference.

I grew up in Provo with Dr. Pardoe's granddaughter Earlyn Wright in my Manavu Ward and Provo High School graduating class in 1953. I took Theatre classes from both Dr. Pardoe and his wife Kathryn. After Dr. Pardoe retired as first and only head (to that date) of the BYU Theatre Department he served as BYU historian and wrote this book telling of some of the great Presidents, Teachers, students and graduates of Brigham Young University. This copy has the hand written dedication "In apprciation from the Alumni Association." Pasted on the same page is a small sheet saying "The presentation of this book by the Alumni Association is made possible through the generosity of the author, Dr. T. Earl Pardoe and his son William E. Pardoe."
