Developing readers learn more about those fascinating dolphins in this book filled with photographs. Not only do they find out more about different types of dolphins and their eating habits, but they also have a chance to explore the various ways dolphins have assisted humans. I appreciate how the author makes a pitch for humans to return that favor by keeping beaches and water clean. The book's gentle reminder that humans owe something to other species is an important one.

A Spanish language edition of Dolphin Dive – a level 2 early reader that covers the life cycle of dolphins, introduces varies species and shares some interesting facts and stories about dolphins. The text boxes and labeled photos should be helpful for newer readers, but the illustrations range inconsistently from good quality stock photography to oddly collaged digital images that depict disparate species all together. Recommended for optional purchase.
