Ok book. This book was interesting about an ER doc that leaves for the "country" on an extended sabbatical. I liked the character development and the fact that main characters did not like Christian as she thought they were hypocritical. Only after meeting some Christians actually walked the walk they talked did she find herself thinking more about God. I wished the ending was a little more substantial in the main character’s development – it was as if you turned the page to a new

While I like books that deal with issues of faith I haven't read many that are classified as "Christian Fiction". I started this book because I was looking for books either written by Missouri authors, or set in Missouri, and this series takes place in the Ozarks. I liked the familiar names of places I have often been, and the book turned out to be enjoyable. The main character, Cheyenne Allison, is an ER physician who is forced to take a leave of absence from her Columbia Mo hospit

The first and I think the best book in this Christian romance series from the Southern Missouri husband & wife team. I've read the first four and not liked them so well as Hideaway.
I think this is because I really connected with the main character in Hideaway, and because its plot didn't revolve around an overt conversion to Christianity (not saying the other plots revolve around that either, but the conversion process seems to be a staple of Christian fiction). I absolutely love this book !!!!!! I would probably say that any book by this author is amazing !! The only thing is that I love to reread books, but I can't do that with this authors' books. Because of the way the plot is woven, there is no enjoyment the second time around because you already know what happens.
This was a very sad book, as far as someone minor yet major dying right at the beginning. I felt as though the characters came alive, and it really mattered what happened to them

I read all her books. Love what she does, the characters, the plots, the protagonists characters are so real.

A mystery with just the right amount of romantic undertones -- each thread holding its own, yet neatly interwoven for a compelling read.

I enjoyed the entire Hideaway Series. They are easy to read suspense with a little bit of love thrown in.

Nice christian book. Doesn't hit you over the head, feels like a Hallmark Movie Special.

This was a good book, but a little slow at times. I did enjoy the book... had a great story with it!

It took me until chapter 11 to really begin to enjoy this book. Before that I kept losing concentration. I nearly quit reading but glad I didn't because it was a pretty good book after all.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. The first half wasn't very interesting, but it started getting better towards the end. I'm excited to read the rest of the series.
