Very good book. I loved the intensity between the two. Jessi and Allan have struck sparks from each other ever since they met, first when their best friends married and now that his family's company has taken over her famly's company. Due to a long standing family feud there are bad feelings on both sides. When those friends are killed in a car crash Jessi and Allan are named as coguardians of baby Hannah and must find a way to work together. As they leave business behind in order to concentrate ...more

Jessi and Allan had a rough start. They're sworn enemies from a long family feud and suddenly they find themselves as unexpected care-takers of Hannah, the baby orphaned by parents who had been the pair's bestfriends.

Personally, a big chunk of this novel is just..weird. How weird? Well, one moment here they are crying at the scene where their best friends died a few hours ago, then a few hours later they'll be discussing how hot and heavy they feel around each other. (Please tell me I not the o

This book would get 4 stars just for the awesome nickname Jessi gives Kell! I won't give it away because the first time I read it I laughed out loud. I liked the romance between Jessi and Allan and tried not to be too sad because they were bonding after becoming joint guardians of their best friends' baby after they were killed in a crash. Given the bad blood between their families and knowing Allan's cousin Kell is determined to boot her and her sisters from their company, it was difficult for ...more

I fell in love with this book by the end of chapter 1. The tension between Jessie and Allen is electrifying, it grips you and it doesn't let go. The story has so many twists and turns that you just get swept up in the story, anticipating the next twist, or explosion to go off. It covers everything you want in a romance story. It will make you laugh, cry, even shed a few tears, which I have to admit I did. the rivalry between the two main characters is one of the best parts of the book. It keeps ...more

Allen McKinney and Jessi Chandler were born enemies. Their families have been feuding for years. Now tragic circumstances have brought them together. The death of their best friends, John and Patti, left them as joint guardians of baby Hannah. They fly to North Carolina to take care of her. Can they work together? Will the attraction they feel grow and flourish? This story has such emotional depth that it brought me to tears. Allen and Jessi are such amazing characters. They have been hurt and a ...more

I was really excited when I got my copy of this book in the mail (I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review). This is the first book I've read by Katherine Garbera and I have to say, I will continue to read her. I got hooked into this book and read it in one sitting. Jessi & Allan have chemistry and you can anticipate that with the arguing their passion will be hot. Jessi & Allan have a history of fighting from the day they met and neither one wanted to be vulnerable. I lov ...more

I received a copy for an honest review.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Let me start by saying that it's been awhile since I've read a Harlequin novel. That's probably a mistake on my part, but this novel showed me what I've been missing.

Allan and Jessi were obviously hot for each other, but in total denial about it. They were content to live like until an unspeakable tragedy forces them together. They have to put up with a family feud and their own confused feelings. To me, this was a c

This book is a continuation of the Baby Business Series that focuses on a long-standing feud between two families and the business their grandfathers used to co-own.

Allan McKinney is a cocky businessman who is taking over Jessi Chandler's family business. He and Jessi have always rubbed each other the wrong way and detest being in each others company. Unfortunately, Allan and Jessi were chosen to be the guardians of their best friend's baby if anything ever happened to them. As tragedy strikes a

Bound By A Child is a terrific book by Katherine Garbera. I love a book whose premise is long-time feuding families drawn together in death. And this time not only does that happen but a baby is drawn into the mix as well. Allen McKinney and Jessi Chandler don’t get along. In fact, he, along with his cousins, is trying to fire her from her job. When baby Hannah’s parents die, godparents Allen and Jessi are called upon to care for her. Barriers are broken as we see this family develop before our ...more

The Feud between the McKinneys and the Chandlers goes back a couple of generations, but the current one is holding the grudge firm. So much so that when their gaming companies merge, the cuts are coming hard and fast – and Jessi Chandler is at the top of the cut list. Read More

Bound By A Child was a very good book. Always terrible when a babies parents are killed. This book has the parents best friend raising the child. Allan and Jessi were always fighting because the two families don't get along. But they really like each other and fight it. It all works out in the end. A very good read.

In Bound By A Child by Katherine Garbera, sparks have been flying from the moment that Allan McKinney and Jessi Chandler first met when their best friends got married. Now Allan’s family is taking over Jessi’s family company, bringing them together again and not in a good way since there has been a long-standing family feud between their families.

Unfortunately, their best friends die in a car crash leaving Allan and Jessi as co-guardians of baby Hannah. Now Allan and Jessi must learn to work tog

I absolutely loved this book! I received an ARC copy and fell in love with Jessi and Allan's story. I enjoyed the twists and turns of this book and was emotional over the characters and their drama. I already have the other book in the series, "His Instant Heir" on my to read. Cannot wait!

I love the trope of enemies to lovers. Allan and Jessi have nothing in common except their best friends. And Jessi has to prove her worth in order to save her job. Tragedy strikes and forces them to come together when their best friends are killed and leave them the guardians of the baby. They turn to each other for emotional support, lust, and love--if they can give in to the feelings. The emotional roller coaster feels real and tears at the heart of the reader--I know this first-hand having lo ...more
