An easy reader that introduces animals that live in rain forests all over the world. In the back of the book is a map showing where the rainforests are each animal inhabits.

Fantastic photographs and simple text make this a great nonfiction pick for curious beginning readers. Lower grade teachers could also use it when teaching about the rainforest.

4.5 stars - great!

This is a great book for children and others who are learning to read. Each two-page spread contains at least one, sometimes two, full-color photographs. The text is kept simple, and it well describes what can be seen in the photograph/s.

I think this will be a great book for introducing potential new words and animals to young children. The pictures do an excellent job of showing what these words mean and the animals are both identified and very clearly visible/identifiable.

This national geographic informational easy reader is designed to be very basic. There is about one sentence per page. The vocabulary is not that simple because it has to do with the jungle there are animals like sloth and macaw. This book is nice because of the real pictures and the informational facts that the book provides it has a list of words that will be introduces at the beginning and a map at the back of where these jungles and creatures are located around the world.

Recommended age 4-7

Pre-Reader ~ books just right for kids who are ready to read
This one didn't have as much information about sloths as I thought it would. It did dedicate several pages to sloths but also discussed other rain forest animals. I was a little disappointed by that.
