As a viscount's daughter, vivacious Coralee Whitmore is perfectly placed to write about London's elite in the outspoken ladies' gazette, Heart to Heart. But beneath her fashionable exterior beats the heart of a serious journalist.

So when her sister's death is dismissed as suicide, Corrie vows to uncover the truth, suspecting the notorious Earl of Tremaine was Laurel's love

Όμως ...more

definitely a page turner.. can't get enough of it. loving the necklace trilogy of Kat Martin.. the flow of the story is fast for the first part.. but it somehow slowed in nearing the ending.

she brought out the characters of the heroin and the hero of the story... went well all through out!

THANK GOD Heart of Honor was just a fluke!
Heart of Fire was wonderfully Kat Martin! The storyline was predictable, of course, but yet I was surprised in the end! I like that, I really, really like that! The passion between Coralee and Gray was unmistakable from the first meet.
I am just giddy with this book!!!! lol

I was surprised how much i like the storyline, i thought it would be like a much of other books but it was better than most basic romance books. Coralee was a decent female character but i did not like Gray very much. He was not a man i could like or want. but i want say anything more because it would be a spoiler

I can recommend Martin's other books, notably Fanning the Flame, however, I just HATED the hero of this one. HATE. The heroine wasn't a whole lot better, but she was plucky and enterprising and entirely wasted on hero. Once a hero needs to resort to aphrodisiacs to woe his lady love, the bloom is off the rose for me :)

I liked this one better than the first in the series. Very little of the fantasy island, and the mystery was awesome. I thought I had it figured out most of the way thru the book--turns out I was only half right, and then there was another twist that came as a surprise as well. Very nice!

I thought this one was the best in the trilogy, perhaps because the Vikings played an extremely minor role here, fun as they are. This was an entertaining tale with a feisty heroine. Read this in Mallorca, excellent holiday fare.

This story is a departure from the first, which had a rather odd combination of themes. I liked this one better, which is a Victorian-era (not accurate, I'm sure) romance with a murder mystery. An enjoyable escape read.

So this ended up being pretty good. I was hesitant to give it 4 stars and I may change it again. But in the whole, it was a fun read.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed reading this second story in The Heart Trilogy. The first one was more imaginative but this one was romantic and intriguing.
