This short story brings the colorful characters to life and the action into focus fairly quickly. Like the joke, "a man walks into a bar..." the story begins when Mal walks into the Fine Kettle of Fish and within minutes manages to alienate almost everyone there. His background and the connection he has with another person in the bar and the consequences of both are the heart of the story.

This was an okay story, the writing was good. It was not long enough for what it was trying to convey. It is a super fast read, so it is worth reading to get a sense of the writing style and the ideas that we are able to get a taste of were interesting.
