“Ghost Poems” edited by Daisy Wallace did not live up to my expectations. I was hoping these poems would be spooky but they left me hanging and uninterested. All the pictures were in black and white and not fun to look at. If I could not stay focused on these poems how is a five year old supposed to stay interested? The only useful thing I could see about this collection would be to use it around Halloween time in a classroom and have kids write their own ghost poems.

Cute anthology of non-scary ghostly poems. My fave was a alliterative Prelutsky poem about a ghostly grocery store. Great pencil illustration, too.
Some good, some bad, most were just okay.
