Rev. Anthony Murdock’s story can be compared to Job, except in Anthony’s case, his sins have definitely come back to haunt him and he knows it. Driven by greed and ambition, Anthony accepted some unscrupulous offers all for the mighty dollar. Now that Anthony has turned his life around, working as an associate minister at a local country church, his conscience is driving him to redeem his past transgressions. With a wife determined to live the good life, Anthony’s decision to come clean could po ...more

Anthony Murdock has it all - a wonderful job, beautiful wife, he is a youth and young adult leader at his church where he preaches every fourth Sunday. Clearly he has it all, or does he?

Because of a choice he made, he now has a change of heart. This change of heart causes much concern for him because it will effect other people, mainly his wife and their lifestyle. Despite change, he's doing what his heavenly father has asked him to do. He has so many obstacles in his way it's hard for

Assistant Pastor Anthony Murdock of 2nd Baptist church loves being a pastor. But he has a burning secret that he feels will force him to resign. No, it's not that he is having an affair, though that is the conclusion that his wife rapidly jumps too. No, Anthony's problems stem back to his misplaced love of money and the actions it lead him too--actions that are now u ...more

Very slow start, but if you stick with it you'll enjoy it about half way through. The ending took a somewhat suprising turn as well.

Overall, it's a good Christian fiction book. The struggles of Anthony Murdock make you take a look at some of your own circumstances and question how did you get there. And not just one potential bad decision, but asking God to reveal to you generational issues that you could be dealing with and have no clue.
