Mike Strenton is tired of the hook-up scene. All the men he meets in the Las Vegas gay bars are interested in only one thing and only one night. Been there done that. About to turn thirty-eight, Mike avoids casual sex until his need for contact is too great to ignore. He secretly longs to meet someone who sees beyond his laugh lines and broad shoulders to the sensitive ...more

What can I say about this one? It was okay. There were some parts I really liked, others I didn't. My main problem with this was my lack of love for the two MC's. I did like them. But that wasn't really enough for me.

Out of the two MC's. Chris was the easiest for me to like. Mike, I loved him at first, I felt really bad for him. Had the author taken a different direction with this, I probably would have liked it more. It felt like Mike was waiting for Chris to leave him. Then there was the whole

I admired that he continually put himself out there in spite of his uncertainties, self-doubt, and the countless rejections he faced. Chris, on the other hand, felt quite unfinished. The blurb mentioned he had a quirky sense of humour but there wasn't much of it in the story. I laughed at his inability to cook. Oh, he is also a closet Bon Appétit subscriber. I don't ...more

3.5 stars Review written for The Blog of Sid Love.

Mike and Chris have a mutual friend, Jesse, who used to dance at the club Mike works at. They meet when Chris delivers some of Jesse’s old costumes. Problem is that he doesn’t know if Chris is gay. They seem to hit it off, as their friendship grows. Chris doesn’t help much by sendi

Pender Mackie lives in Canada though she spent her childhood years in England.

An imaginative child, Pender wasn't a willing student. Her father — deciding some incentive was needed — promised her a pony as soon as she could read.

Properly motivated, Pender picked up a book and discovered the joys of fiction. Though her infatuation with ponies didn’t last, she still loves a good story.
