Whispers In Space is a collection of sci-fi short stories and even a smattering of sci-fi poems by Minnesota author Michael Merriam. True to the title, this collection holds to science fiction, but nicely blends in darkness, horror, war, and even poetry to taste.

My favorites included Memory, a post-apocalyptic adventure with a smart twist ending, and Melpomene Run, a sci-fi/horror/adventure that keeps you turning pages even though half the story takes place on a small courier ship.

Michael Merriam was born in Michigan in 1965. He spent most of his life in west-central Oklahoma and north Texas before moving to Minnesota in 1999.
