Super saucy. Interesting dynamic between characters; descriptions really draw you in and make you feel both the passion and heart-break between the different relationships. Seriously erotic scenes, but also deeply romantic and serious. It can be humorous, however it is primarily a love story that captivates the reader making you wish there was more. Looking forward to book II, I can't wait to read the sister's love story! if you read julie garwood or nora roberts you'll more than likely enjoy th ...more

In the beginning I found it hard to grasp some things, it was frustrating, but then came the realization of what this story was all about. Can a person drop her present when the past suddenly comes back into her life? I felt for everyone in this deeply romantic and serious story. Call me twisted, but l loved this tale of the incomplete.

The Sweet Spot by Ariel Ellman is one of the greatest love stories I've read in a long time. The stories plot is truly gripping, and will stop you from putting the book down. I ordered takeout for the kids, so I could finish the book. I can't wait for the sequel!
I started this book and immediately was riveted to the story...I could not put it down. The writing was phenomenal in that I felt like I wanted to move to Boston and immerse myself in that neighborhood, the people, their lives, the shops. I loved that Ani and Sebastian and reunited right from the start and the unbreakable bond that they shared was still as strong, despite the 15 years, scars, unfolding lives, transition to adulthood and tragic events between them.

But, lives did unfold and teena
A heartbreaking story but very cute and sweet. My only gripe is that i think Ani fell into bed with Sebastian a little too easily/quickly in the beginning. I realize that he was "literally" the love of her life returned, but she hadn't seen him in 15 years and she was married and not to some creep...he was a really good guy and she didn't even hesitate or think about how this was going to affect him. I also wish there had been an epilogue, it would have made the ending soooo much better! But i'm ...more
Ariel Ellman captures the love story of Ani & Sebastian in this captivating novel that I just could not put down. Their story and the stories of those around them, is addictive and leaves you wanting for more. This book is one of those great "summer reads" that leaves you feeling hopeful, inspired, and captivated. If you are looking for a great "beach" book, look no further. You will love this book! Her writing reminds me of a saucier Emily Giffin. If you like Ms. Giffin's style of writing & ...more

Ms. Ellman's book put me in the mood! I never wrote a book review before but needed to share my experience. Any husbands reading this would be smart to get their wives a Kindle and make this book the first purchase. Like reading Emily Giffin with spice. Characters are multi-layered, sympathetic and deeply sensual. I loved it and can't wait to read Book II. Ms. Ellman's writing makes you fall in love with love is the best way I can put it. I'll be reading all her books from now on. And I know my ...more
I truly loved this book. Had me hooked from the first page. I really felt for all the characters involved in this story.

The Sweet Spot is the first book in the Boston Harbor Romances by Ariel Ellman. I absolutely loved this book in fact I read it twice before I started to write this review (a first for me). This book grabs at your heart and does not let go all the way through the book. It makes you rethink choices you have made in the past. I read this book in one sitting.

Ani Winthrop is faced with impossible choice. Her life is good; she loves her husband and has a great life between work and home. That is unti

This book was so freaking amazing- I don't even know where to start! What an incredible love story that never died. I'm a sucker for tattoos and lots of them so you know I fell in love with Bast immediately. He was an I'm all in-don't play games-no nonsense-you're mine kind of guy and you just have to love that. Ani kind of got on my nerves a little bit. But, in her defense, she had a major life changing situation turn into I need an immediate decision thing going on. I love love love Sawyer and ...more

Another great love story with some kinky! I live how this story makes you feel all if Ani's emotions! I felt her heart ache when she left Jordan and you totally feel the turmoil she's going through with her choices and consequences! I also love her relationship with Sawyer! It's nothing like a sister to have your back and understand all you're going through! And when you need someone to push the issue Sawyer to the rescue! I love how she hooks Ani and Sebastian's relationship right from the begi ...more

The love story of Ani & Sebastian is very deep and I loved every moment of reading it! It was a very good book, my heart really hurt for Jordon. My thoughts on this book are, it kept my attention, I really liked the writing, as I kept reading my mind always thought back to Jordon on how heartbroken he was. Please tell me you will write about Jordon and give him a happily ever after!?!?! Overall "The Sweet Spot" was a fantastic read!

Really enjoyed this book.... (view spoiler) Book 2 sounds good.....
I loved Ani and Bas's story, but felt terrible for Jordan. The time apart was devastating, and their reunion explosive. While neither had moved on, Ani had built a life, but was always waiting. The relationships were intricate and well written. The book sucked me in and I want more!

4 Star Review by Jen Skewes

Ani's life for the past 10 years has been good to her. She is married to Jordan who is an amazing man. He is a loving husband and father. And she has a beautiful daughter Raffi who is 9 years old. But over the years no matter how much she loved Jordan there has always been a piece of her heart that has been missing. Jordan knows that Ani has a past that she never talks about. He knows that deep down he doesn't have her completely and he knows that it has everything to
This book kept me up until the wee hours of the morning - I couldn't put it down.

I loved this history between Ani and Sebastian, loved the dynamic between Ani and her sister Sawyer. I felt bad for Jordan losing his wife of ten years to her childhood sweetheart, but I totally get Ani's reasons for going back to Sebastian.

Great read!

The cover already had me swooning, Bast aka Sebastian is a delicious specimen! ! Inked and muscled = my kryptonite! I couldn't wait to start reading and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! !

Ani and Sebastian loved each other since they were kids and have been together ever since until tragic events tear away their innocence and they are forced to grow up very quickly :'(

Ani pines for Sebastian and what they've lost but eventually she moves on with her life. She marques Jordan and they have a daughter, RaffI

Four Fabulously Girly Stars

Just awesome! Thats exactly what this contemporary second-chance romance is! I loved it! This is the first book in a long time that I have read that I can truly say there wasn't a point where I wanted to reach through the book and slap the characters for their unnecessary drama... and thats not to say the drama wasn't there! Normally, I am not a fan of cheating in books, and that isn't because I just simply don't like cheating in books, but its just that I haven't come across an author who coul
Loved from page one through the sneak peek if book 2.
First this is the best cover! I am in love with it! For the book it was just fantastic! Seriously the entire scenario between our three main characters couldn't have been written better. Ani being semi happy married to Jordan seemed so cliche for about a minute. As the story unfolds and we learn Sebastian is back all I can say is bring on the angst. His story of prison was a sad one. What was worse than the reason he was in prison? The fact th

*ARC received in exchange for an honest review*

I'm honestly not sure if I've ever cried so much whilst reading a book as I did when I sat down one evening to read The Sweet Spot. And that was only by page 80! This book . . . Just . . . WOW! The emotions running through each page are so intense that I was immediately invested in the characters lives, and the story that they told.

As the synopsis says, Ani has been married to the wonderful Jordan for 9 years, and they have a beautiful daughter, Raf
First off I want to thank Ariel for providing me with an ARC copy of this book to read and review for the blog tour <3 much loveage <3
After reading this story, I'm a little on the fence as to how I feel about it, and to be honest this is a first for me.
Maybe it was just me, I'm not, sure but I couldn't get into the story properly, don't get me wrong, I completed the book, I always finish a book.

What would you do if the love of your life returned after 15 years apart?
Would you leave everyth
Couldn't put it down. Ms Ellman has written some seriously steamy sex scenes. I love the characters, I cried and laughed at the same time. Can't wait until book two to see how the story (and the sex) continues.

The Sweet Spot is a different story. It has a unique storyline. It was refreshing to read something different.

Sebastian is the ultimate bad boy. He has tattoos and served jail time for a car accident that took two lives when he was 17. Ani was his girlfriend at the time. She waited for him as long as she could. He pushed her away while he was in jail by refusing to see her.

Fifteen years later he is out of jail and Ani is married with a child. When Sebastian walks back into her Ani's life, it's
This was an easy read! Only a bit of drama but it totally broke my heart... Or I should say, Jordan broke my heart. He's such a nice guy :( I hope one day I get to read Jordan's book!

I struggled with this book because I felt Ani was too quick to leave her husband and marriage behind. Whilst I get that Sebastian was the love of her life he'd been gone for 16 years and she'd been married for ten of them. She also still loved Jordan. There is no way that they were the same people they used to be, they'd both been through stuff that had changed them, yet just dropped straight back into a relationship as though the last sixteen years had never happened.

I couldn't celebrate Ani be

I got my first taste of romance novels tucked away in the back of Papyrus, a little bookstore near Columbia University in Manhattan, when I was eleven years old. They had a children’s section, but it was downstairs in the basement, accessed by a separate street entrance, and they always closed it before we got there.
My father liked to take me and my brothers to bookstores late at night, after sp
