Does Altori suffer from a multitude of mental illnesses or is something stranger lurking in the darkness? Her affliction could certainly be described as delusional paranoid schizophrenia with a tendency to inflict wounds upon herself.

The author takes a great deal of time and effort into stimulating the reader's senses, but ultimately where is she leading us in this short prequel? Ultimately, "Brigadoon" and then "The Knowing" came to mind, but the again are we just eaves dropping into the mind o

For readers who, like me, enjoy a story reminiscent of the old Twilight Zone episodes, The Void certainly rang all my supernatural story-loving chimes. Yet it is Ms. Bishop’s intricate portrayal of her character’s psychical layers within the story that enriched my read.
When the dark moon-night phase is complete, a night with no moon – the void – occurs. Bad things happen to anyone caught outside during this time – it did to Helen, and she disappeared. Wrestling with her despair over a life of

I love this author's writing style. The prose is so engaging. This paranormal story kept me interested. It's a quick read, and reminded me of something from the Tales of the Unexpected.
Altori lost her sister a year ago in the 'Void' and she goes in search of her a year on. Strange things start to happen to Altori after her night in the Void. History begins to repeat itself. The author uses flashbacks to show what happened to Helen, Altori's lost sister. Will Altori find out where her sister wen

My wife bought this book as it is premise that she finds intriguing. I read it first and was just stunned by the poor, repetitive writing. I thought it was me and asked her to read it as well. It made no sense to either one of us. Not quite sure what other people are seeing that we are not. The only positive thing i can say is that there may be a good idea in here, however undeveloped. I tried.
