A review doesn't cover this style of informational book properly, so I will give a recommendation, and break up my "recommendation" into parts mostly based on the general categories people will fall into. My review might seem partially redundant, if not just plain wordy (if you read it all), so if interested, I suggest reading the point (1) and/or at least the sub point that correlates with you best.

A good reference book, sort of. There's a list of resources that's worthwhile to know or be reminded of, but since it's dealing with the internet, things change so quickly. Already some of the resources that are still considered "deep" or "invisible" web show up with a Google search. Admittedly, that is mentioned in the book.

This book wasn't what I expected it to be. The first few chapters had interesting information that defined and described the invisible web, and the last chapter had useful tools that go beyond google. Everything in between was a summary of research about perceptions on use of and teaching the invisible web, which is not what I was looking for.

A good introduction to the idea of invisible web. If your not into the details just go directly Part III as the first two chapters/sections are mainly justifying the issue of invisible web.

Full of links to great instructional resources. Explains deep web clearly and describes the importance of including it in information literacy instruction. Highly recommended.

Not a great read, but informative. I found some useful information on the Invisible Web, and how to inform students about it. I might like to have this book as a reference.
