Being an animal lover, and especially a dog lover, I appreciated this book. There are so many people I've met over time that feel that a dog's presence is not necessarily a mutually beneficial relationship. Some people think that having a dog is a chore of sorts, and some treat their own dog cruelly. I will never understand why those people are pet owners. In this book, the author's absolute devotion for her dog, Bailey, comes through. It inspires me to try my best every day to show my dogs how ...more

A truly wonderful accounting of the bond between the author and her dog. As someone who recently lost a beloved dog, this book hit close to home. I put off reading the book for a few months because I was worried it was too soon after I'd lost my own dog and it could be depressing for me, but I shouldn't have worried. The book is wonderfully uplifting and heartfelt, without being too sad. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has loved a dog as a true family member.

"Letters to Each Other" by Sherri Maddick is a touching story about the author's relationship with her adopted dog Bailey. The author does a beautiful job of describing the unconditional love and devotion that exists between people and their furry friends. This book will appeal to animal lovers of all ages. An enjoyable read!
