Reading this book might be like walking down memory lanes for those who would have lived or visited Malay kampungs of Singapore.
Though I wasn't brought up in kampung way, but I had frequent a kampung in Onraet Road where my grandparents' house was. My grandparents' home was considered the more modernised home in the kampung as it was built with cement and had glass windows. But I had always hated the bucket system outhouse toilet!
