This is one sweet short read, and even so I felt that Jess was realistic enough to hold the story.

This is a story of a magic soup and love, and no, you don't get to the HEA.

The story ends rather abruptly though we do get a glance at a potential HEA. Just enough to keep us satisfied.

This is a free short story on Kindle. I liked the characters and sweet innocence in the writing, but I didn't feel like the story was complete. While a HEA isn't necessary there wasn't much of a story arc. I had expected a fire or something exciting.

Cate has washed laundry in a crocodile-infested African lake, parasailed over Cabo, had monkeys poop in her hair, and swum with dolphins, but her best adventures are her story worlds. Her lush fantasy romances about magic, danger and passion in faraway realms have won more than thirty awards. Her debut novel, Kismet's Kiss, was a two-time Romance Writers of America Golden Heart finalist.
