Blood South is extremely graphic, primarily in violence, it is affectionless but precisely because of this, the story works while remaining faithful to its genre, and style. Thom Young's voice makes the brutal realism of the Texan landscape come alive. His observational skills with regards to setting and character development don't go unnoticed. This book will appeal more to readers whom don't suffer from modern sensitivities, and have a taste for realistic fiction.
