It took me a while to write this very short review because honestly I don't want to give anything away and I also wanted to make sure that I was in the correct mind frame.

Sometimes you get so excited for a book to come out and when it does it can hurt your book feelings. With that being said...

The moment they knew that Trace was in danger they should have put her butt into training on how and what to do to protect herself. Not treat her like a porcelain doll. It was annoying to read t

So I'm the type of reader that hates love triangles, because someone is always bound to get hurt. There's no question about whether or not this book is a love triangle. We have two heroes who are both in love with the heroine and a heroine who's not so sure who she love more than the other. I despised Trace in this book for absolutely no reason, because I felt she should be loyal to Nixon. But the events that happened in this book made for an extremely difficult situation. So while I felt Trace

This is book two out of Rachel Van Dyken's series, and my attention is caught! The first book was an ok read for me; but Elect captured me, and I am now a huge fan of this series! There were so many secrets that began to surface in this story, and so many questions that I had. A love triangle did develop, and I can honestly that usually I do not enjoy any story with a love triangle in it; but with everything going on, it was impossible not like the book anyway. Seeing as this is an ongoing serie ...more

The story kills off perfectly from Elite, but somewhere all the way I don't know where to fit the prologue in... Hmmm

Nixon comes to face to face all this challenges and is near in answering all the questions he needed an answer. But he has to make a sacrifice by underplaying his love.

Well, there is Chase, of course, who loves Tracey too and acts as her bodyguard!!!

How can they survive this?

5 "Star-Crossed Lovers" stars for the story and 4 stars for the narration!

This mafia new adult series, which will also appeal to YA romance lovers, keeps getting better and better! Amid all this danger, who will succeed in finding their HEA?

I can't remember the last time a book made me feel this much anxiety! I was on the verge of a panic attack. The story took off from the beginning, and... wow, I'm just literally blown away. I couldn't put it down. I loved book one, but this just blew it out of the water. Crazy good. Action packed. Witty banter. Freaking stressful. Just...AHHHH!! I'm still feeling the tension right now. I feel like I could come out of my skin! I haven't put a book on my favorites list in a while, but I just did! ...more

I loved Elite, so I couldn’t wait to jump in with Elect, but the moment I read the prologue, (which I soon found out it was a chapter towards the end of the book) I became very upset.

Here’s the thing with me, I do not like reading the ending at the beginning of the book. I wish authors would put a warning and say “HEY GUYS! I put the ending right here, to get you hooked and maybe indirectly piss you off”

Then I wouldn’t be so upset every time I come across that. So I got upset and put

I am a HUGE fan of Rachel. And let me tell you that ELECT did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. LOVE LOVE LOVE this book.

Ok so here goes. It picks up where we left off after Elite.
The Sicilians are coming! Scary Sicilians. The mystery still exists who killed Trace's parents and what the hell are they going to do.

This book is in 3 peoples point of view, Nixon, Chase, and Phoenix. Yes I said Phoenix. You think you know his whole thing, but you don't and I came to love his voice.

So, You still have the story line of two guys in love with the same girl

I was super excited when I saw this on netgalley! Honestly can Nixon be more perfect? Yeah no! Omg he was amazing! I really really enjoyed Chase , but I felt like there was something missing with him. I enjoyed the rivalry between them but let me be honest and say at times it kinda got annoying. I loved both books but I have to be honest. Trace, was funny, shy, and most of all so in love with Nixon. Eagle Elite Book 2

Warning: This book evokes extreme emotions. Readers have been known to scream, laugh, and cry. It is recommended to read with a stress ball and tissues, probably a bottle of wine too.

I was privileged enough to receive an ARC of Elect, in return for an honest review.

When I read Elect, there were four words that came to mind.

I'M SO HEART BROKEN FOR NIXON AND I CRIED BECAUSE LIKE NIXON FELT WHEN HE SAW THAT SCENE OF CHACE AND TRACE, I FELT BETRAYED AND DEJECTED! I LITERALLY CRY WHEN I READ THE 2 PAGES OF THE PROLOGUE IN BOOK TWO!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!

I HATE HOW TRACE IS SO FICKLE MINDED! HOW SHE LET HERSELF HAVE FEELINGS WITH CHASE, WHEN SHE OBVIOUSLY HAD FEELINGS FOR NIXON!!! I HATE HOW SHE JUST BLURTED I LOVE YOU TO CHASE IN BOOK 1 LIKE NIXON IS NOT THER

This sequel did not disappoint!

Trace, I understand her bond with Chase, he is her saviour, and she loves him, just not the same way she feels for Nixon. . One is her saviour, and the other is the air she breathes. And whether heart was shattered, I cried with her...

BUT I didn't quite get how she could get passionate with Chase so fast... how fast she could decide and choose ... That part I didn't like. I guess that was her way of dealing? I really wouldn't know cause the stor

Quick & Dirty: Fantastic sequel with even more action, mystery, and steamy romance. This is one of my favorite new adult series.

Opening Sentence: I hid in the shadows hoping he wouldn’t see me as he hit Ma again.

I was lucky enough to get the ARC of Elect in return for my honest review, so here it goes!

Well, maybe here it goes. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this review. Yes, I am that book hung-over with 'Elect' and trust me you will be too. Run to your TBR (To Be Read) list and add it, and if you haven’t read 'Elite' add them both, you will. Not. Be. Sorry!!

WOAH! I mean, really?! I am so impressed with this book. putting it down to be a productive member of society was out of the question. I sat in the same spot from start to finish. The great thing about Rachels books is that you don't see the story unfolding how it does. Many books today you can predict the ending and all the character building by the time you get to chapter 5. Just when you think you may know what is going to happen, something gets thrown in and you have no clue what is about to ...more

WOW…I don’t even know where to begin with the awesomeness that is Rachel Van Dyken! She’s a truly caring human being, and blows my mind with her ability to suck you into her stories continually. WOW. I'm not sure what to say. I did not see half of them twists and turns coming. I've been completely blown away by this series. I never expected it to be so good but it is, by far, better than I ever imagined.

The emotions I got from reading Elite then Elect is outstanding. I was so excited but held in suspense all the way through.

So the love triangle in this series reminds me of the love triangle in Twilight series. Wait before you misunderstand me there. These books are NOT similar to the Tw

I waited a long time for this book to come, as book 1 left me saying "what the hell"!?
I liked this book; however, it was hard to keep track of everyone! Who was who, who was related to who, who was the dad, grandpa, uncle, brother, who slept with who way back when...... Man it got confusing!
I hated that chase had her heart and Nixon had her soul......... I wanted Nixon to have it all! How could she ( at times) make it seem so easy to move on with chase?

Do not read this book unless you have read "Elite (Eagle Elite #1)." This is a continuing story therefore "Elect" cannot be read as a standalone.

Well, it was all going on in this story. Secrets were uncovered, lies were told, a love triangle began and it wouldn't be a Mafia story without a huge amount of violence. "Elect" began with a prologue that al

The moment I finished Eagle Elite #1, I clicked over to Amazon and ordered this one. I just HAD to know what was going to happen. And then I blew through this novel all too fast and I'm having fast-reader-remorse. I'm kind of ashamed of how quickly I read this one. I can't even TELL you how badly I want to get the third book in this series ... so bad. But alas, it is not to be. I have other books that I've got to get through and then I can come

It is no secret that I LOVED Elite by Rachel Van Dyken! Heck, I stand by my word that it is the best book I have read this year! However, Elect gives Elite a run for its money! All of my favorite and not so favorite characters are back! More mafia action, more romance issues, more Chase, Trace and Nixon!!!! 5-big-stars! I might be biased, but I LOVE the love triangle in this story.

There's Nixon.... and there's Chase!!!! Oh, boy oh boy oh boy! Okay, so i finished this book in less than two days and I had to wait to write the review. I gotta say, the first book I just wasn't feeling Nixon. Sure he was swoony and I got him. I did.

BUT this book, I got him MORE! Like I'm on Nixon's side all the way. I don't want to say too much and ruin the story for you guys, but let me just add my two cents.

3.5/4 out of 5 Stars.

You will need to read Elite before you read Elect.
In this sequel to Elite, there is a love triangle, a mob story and bunch of information (secrets) that are finally revealed.
I did not know what direction the romance was going to go. When I read Elite, I could see where the story was going and who I wanted Trace to end up with. However, while I was reading Elect, I wasn’t sure.
Reading this book made me question how can Nixon ever relax in this life of crime? How will he ever

Check out my review of Elect (Eagle Elite #1) here .

Trace had no idea that she came from a family of mobsters. Her parents long dead, all she had left was her grandfather, who just happened to be the head of her family, which was pretty much non-existent these days - hence the living under the rock part.

Nixon just happened to be the current mob boss for another family...one that used to be incredibly close to Tracey's. Long story short, being the head of the family doesn't exactly allow him to

Another hit out of the park by Rachel! Awesome continuation to the series!

This is a hard review to do without giving spoilers but let's just say that the threats hanging over everyone's heads leads to further complications with the Trace/Nixon/Chase saga.

There were times I wanted to hug certain characters and tell them it would all be okay, other times I wanted to strangle those same people. LOL

Can't wait to see what Rachel has in store for us in the next instalment. This is such an original tak

loved first book but didnt even like this one. :(

Book 1 in this series was a 5 star read for me. I'm saddened to say I feel generous giving book 2 a two star rating. I just found it to be overly repetitious and dull at times. I was bored with this read and it lacked the intensity and passion previous book in series had. The love triangle was extremely tiresome. This story just didn't work for me personally. It felt very juvenile and I will not continue this series.
