I had thought I was not interested in reading anymore but this book got me reading again. It’s interesting. A lovely woman, mother and wife in a clean but poor neighborhood in England. The everyday life she lead as she uplifted others and lead a moral life everyday. In the middle it seemed there was no plot and it got a little long but overall I enjoyed it. Friendships.

I have never read Joan Jonker before, and I was pleasantly surprised. I did feel that a lot of the book was dragged out and I was determined to finish it. It was a heart warming story of Kate and Monica in Liverpools two up two down house with their neighbors trials and tribulations.

Joan Jonker was born and bred in Liverpool. She founded the charity-run organisation Victims of Violence and she lives in Southport. She has two sons and two grandsons.
