ewwww....she stabbed him ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-THREE TIMES? (including "nicking" his penis over and over) Well, I guess he won't make THOSE mistakes again. Then, she "buries" him in the patio by throwing some bags of potting soil over him (leaving another 10 bags she bought but was too lazy to open and spread around, I guess) in the back of his pickup (of COURSE he drove a pickup - it's freaking TEXAS after all)...and she then spends the next week hauling the blood-soaked ma...more

In order for a true crime story to really resonate with the reader, there needs to be either a sense of the unique or a sense of outrage as justice is sought (and possibly denied). This book does neither, and manages to load up on shoddy second-hand journalism and editorializing to boot.

It's so hard to believe that there are people out there like Susan that do this type of thing and think they can get away with it just by saying that they weren't in their "right mind" while they were doing it!! And murdering your husband while your babies are sleeping in the next room!! It's just sick & sad, so very sad. Nobody should have to die like that. He felt safe in his home with his wife of 4 years thinking that she was being good to him and then...

It's just a tragic story and mainly I feel for the kids. I hope and pray they can live a semi-normal life after this! Such a sad and tragic story, and no one deserves to die like that.
