Strange but interesting! It's basically a robot samurai manga, and at first I thought I wouldn't like it, but Jintetsu is a character that really grows on you, and his story is so compellingly tragic that you're invested before you know what you're doing. The art work is certainly not the best I've seen but certainly not the worst either, it's about middle of the road. All told its really pretty good! I look forward to reading more of this series!
Historical manga (Edo period) from the author of the pretty good vampira manga called Lament of the lamb. The art and the athmoshpere is kinda similar to Blade of the Immortal. The author is a woman but it doesn't show much. No room for romance and lots of blood. Not sure where this story about a samurai with an artificial body is heading to but it sure has been interesting so far.
Really quick read since there's lots of action and the main character doesn't speak. There seems to be a lot of intravillage politics going on which isn't particularly my thing. I'd be a bit more interested in the mechanics of how the robo-samurai works. The style of faces is pretty similar across characters, but otherwise I appreciate the artwork.
