I found this collection of essays of particular interest as they're written from an old-order German Baptist perspective. The author demonstrates a firm grasp of Anabaptist history coupled with an understanding of the theological and cultural dynamics that have shaped his denomination's own interpretation of Scripture. The themes covered are particularly relevant to those who've chosen to live in such a way that reflects traditional Amish, Russian Mennonite, or Hutterite values.
