This is the book following the The Killing Game. I thought it would be as good as that one, because I really liked the charcters and I love animals. It was unfortunately NOT. It is about a woman with a search dog that gets contracted to look for people and dead bodies. But in the end it gets really unrealistic.

Has a copy to sell/swap
Johansen has really put a lot of thought into her Characters, and I love that she uses some of the same charaters in other books,
For Eve Duncan
The Face of Deception
The Killing Game
The Search
Body of Lies
Blind Alley
Countdown
the Characters will flow better if you read them in this order.

Awesome!! an easy read that will totally keep you guessing until the end. i like the way that the author reveals the plot in the story. in the beginning it isn't quite clear what is "going on" but a few chapters in the plot becomes quite clear.

I have read several Iris Johanson novels looking for another book as good as The Search and The Ugly Duckling. Haven't found one, but I tried. Perhaps the reason I love the search is Monty, the dog, but I don't care. It's a good read.

Iris is still one of my favorite authors! Her strong female characters and her story lines (usually) including animals just makes for good reading! Gotta love her! This was one of my favorites.

for an easy read
This book is good if you want an easy read, but is not something I would tell everyone to pick up. Borrow it from the library if you like dogs. Otherwise it is okay to skip it.

as usual, another GREAT twisted thriller by this author!!!
would be nice if more people in reality could come together like some of the characters in this novel, but ...

I enjoyed this book. It had a great level of suspense, and the story flowed well. Some of the characters were a little off for me, but over all a really good read.

This is a fascinating read that deals with search and rescue and dogs-a great combination for suspense and drama overseas and abroad. A personal favorite.
