Wow! was my first reaction after reading this book. Through all the twists and turns of the book, the struggle to be able to forgive yourself and move on from the past is ever present and then the realization that through God we can find forgiveness and it is God’s strength that enables us to move on. I am so glad I read this book and it left me wanting more. I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review. This is truly what I felt after reading.
Elizabeth Goddard is a fun author to read. When I want something entertaining, her books are what I will pick up. But they aren't just for light reading. You also learn lessons as you follow the characters through their lives. And Love on the Slopes is exactly one of those stories.

Shannon is one fighter for a lady. I enjoyed getting to know her and how she works but also how she grows from diva to volunteer helper. It is funny to see her realize what her goals are in life and who she really is.

I really enjoyed the book. Enjoyed the characters. I could see a book 2 with the characters. Shannon De Croix had really big plans for her life. The main one being a skier on the nations top ski team. This was not to happen after a major ski accident. Shannon is very strong willed and is not going to let it stop her. Her dad hires a coach for her to work with to get it back where she needs to be. She doesn’t want to listen to what she is told and by not lis

The perfect size for a relaxing afternoon or a before-bedtime distraction, this story is great for anyone desiring a clean romance. Elizabeth Goddard utilizes realistic inner turmoil, palpable emotions, and dramatic circumstances to hook her readers into her story and keep them engrossed.

An injuring fall during a downhill race left Shannon De Croix struggling to attain her dream of an Olympic gold medal in competitive skiing. When the handsome coach who supported her through her physical rehabil
Love on the Slopes is a wonderful love story about two people with baggage they must learn to let go of if they are going to be able to embrace life and love.

Shannon De Croix suffers a serious skiing injury during a competition and soon realizes that much of her identity is tied to her ability to race competitively. As her life is thrown into turmoil and all she has worked for comes into question, will Shannon be able to figure out why she races and if there is more that God has planned for her.

Elizabeth Goddard brings us a feel good romance. I loved everything about this book from the storyline, imagery to the characters. I found myself cheering for these two to get together. The characters show true courage when faced with adversity and learn how to turn their problems over to God.
Hudson Landers was hired as a ski coach by Ridgewood Ski Lodge. He is experienced in all levels of competition from being a competitor and winning gold at the Olympics to coaching. Hudson has a history whi
I love Elizabeth Goddard’s books and this tender love story is one of my favorites! Love on the Slopes is a beautiful story of faith and love!

Elizabeth Goddard always does a tremendous job of drawing the reader into her stories. The sights, sounds, and atmosphere in Love on the Slopes were wonderfully depicted! I envisioned the athletes and their training routines, as well as the ski resort and its beautiful surroundings.

I was quickly captivated by the main characters, Shannon De Croix and Hud

I love, love, love “Love On The Slopes”!!!
Now let me tell ya why…
#1 Characters with character: Shannon and Hudson aren’t just your typical cookie-cutter romance characters. These two have issues and I the author does a wonderful job keeping readers enthralled in the characters. You will get aggravated with them, cry with them and cheer for them!
#2 On the Slopes: I love that the author chose this setting for this story, it just adds so much to the overall reading experience…and we get to go along

Shannon de Croix was on her way to becoming a member of the nation’s top ski team until a serious crash caused a break in her plans. Her boyfriend on the ski team left her behind to follow his own dreams and didn’t seem too sympathetic to Shannon’s broken dreams. Shannon’s father owns Ridgewood Ski Lodge and Ski Team. He bought the ski lodge for Shannon so that she could pursue skiing. Shannon feels like he would be horribly disappointed in her, and possibly not love her, if she is unable to ret ...more
“The clock ticked as Shannon steadied her breathing, shoving all thoughts from her mind save one.

Ski hard. Ski fast.

The starter counted down the last five seconds.

Five, four, three, two…The blast of a horn signaled the start of the race. In an instant, Shannon pressed her weight into her poles and leaned forward, pushing off onto the downhill slope, gaining momentum by skating on her skis for the first few feet.

She picked up speed as gravity and the slick bottom of her racing skis propelled her

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! To see their growth and the way the Lord worked on their hearts and opened them to love was beautiful. Hudson had to forgive himself and get to the point where he could turn his worries and cares over to the Lord and trust that the Lord would take care of everything, that everything would be all right - God was in control - before he could open his heart to love. The Lord tried to tell him in SO many times and in different ways and through different avenues, but h ...more

What a great little booked packed into 184 pages. I received this book as a book I had signed up to win. I received it on the day before the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, and yes, I was watching skiing/snowboarding events. How appropriate. I read this book cover to cover it was such a spellbinder.

Shannon's life is skiing and she dreams of competing in the winter Olympics. Her dad owns a ski lodge, primarily to provide Shannon with a place to practice and hone her skills. Review on my blog:

Love on the Slopes was a short, but good, read. I wasn't expecting the book to start off the way it did - with the race in which Shannon got injured. That definitely made me feel for her and I liked her fight and how she continued to work hard. I loved the location of Love on the Slopes - it sounds gorgeous. :) The ending seemed a bit rushed, but it was still good. If you like sho

A fall results in a halt to Shannon's career. Rehab helped and so did having Hudson as a coach. But when she was ready to push harder, he wanted her to hold back and heal more. The conflict was too much and Hudson decided to leave the team and his coaching of Shannon. But he couldn't leave her behind because he'd developed feelings besides that of a coach for her. And she still wanted him to be her coach.

Very enjoyable story.
