Wonderful friends to lovers books. Pete and Elissa have been friends since she came to live with her aunt as a teenager. As the book opens a devastating tornado rips through Blue Falls. Elissa and Verona's house is okay, but her nursery is heavily damaged and Pete's house is completely destroyed. They invite him to stay at their house until he can get set up again. But something has changed between Pete and Elissa and neither is quite sure what to do about it.

What was not to like about this story?? Nothing. It was a great short romance novel. Pete and Elissa have been friends since they were teenagers, best friends actually. One night a tornado rips through their town, Pete's house and Elissa's nursery were both casualties, and changes both of their lives forever. Pete winds up living with Elissa and her aunt. Neither could deny their feelings towards one another. Then the results of Pete's admission into the Ranger academy comes in and Lis starts to ...more

While payback is sweet at times for long time Elissa was helping her Aunt play matchmaker but when love hits her in the form of her best guy friend Pete does she let love grow. It was an great little read by far my favorite in the series. It had all the emotions that you want sadness, happy, love, and some laughter. While at times I did want to skip ahead and or just yell at the characters to get together already and stop being stubborn. I was a great read. 4/5 stars
InMarrying the Cowboy by Trish Milburn, Elissa Mason has been dodging her aunt Verona’s matchmaking by throwing everyone she can in her way. She even managed to put her best friends in the way before her aunt could set her sights on her. But now Verona is determined that it is time for Elissa to be married and have her own happiness. But Elissa considers herself wedded to the family nursery and its success is all she cares about.

Until one unfortunate night a devastating tornado hits her hometow
Marrying The Cowboy is a good book. Elissa and Deputy Sheriff Pete Kayne have been friends since their teenage years. Pete lives next door now to Elissa where she is living with her aunt. A tornado wipes out Pete's house. He stays with Elissa and her aunt. They start feeling different about each other than just friends. A very nice love story.

Elissa Mason and Pete Kayne have lived next door to one another for years. They even went to high school together. When a tornado destroys Pete's house, Elissa's aunt insists that he move into their guest room. Suddenly, Elissa and Pete begin to see each other as much more than neighbors. Good story.
Pete is awesome, funny, sensitive--loved him. Really enjoyed this book and the interaction of Elissa and her best friends, and getting to see follow up with them on their stories. Just a fun read without all the hard-core drama. Great book.
