Read Crying of Lot 49 first. If you find it enthralling, then try Gravity's Rainbow. GR is very slow moving and confusing the first time around, but grows on you with each succesive reading. GR is is in my opinion the finest piece of literature produced in the 20th century.

GR is also the most anarchist themed book that I've ever read. Much more so than his later books, (Against the Day), although AtD deals much more explicitly with Anarchist history and has main characters that are explictley An
