Recommended to Morgan by: It was the only book on Seminoles in The Free Library of Philade
It looks like a gradeschool textbook until Frank W. Porter kicks off the introduction with a quote from John Steinbeck:

"The Indians survived our open intention of wiping them out, and since the tide turned they have even weathered our good intentions toward them, which can be much more deadly."

In his introduction, Porter lays out the purpose of the Indians of North America series to "examine the problems when different cultures come together." Then the book is handed over to Garbarino who does
