Todd and Daniel have been dancing around each other for almost a year, both afraid to take that step past ‘just friends’. Then Todd waits on a customer who introduces himself as Joshua, and leaves Todd a strange message in the form of a spell-infused coffee sleeve, gifting him with love at first sight. Their first sight long-since gone, Todd and Daniel both see the magical ...more

I read the blurb and wasn't really sure what it meant, why would magical presents end their chance at more?
Well I found out.

Todd is a barista and one day he gets a very cute and interesting customer. He's a 'gifter' and I have to say, Todd takes to the supernatural like a fish to water.
He doesn't quite believe, but :
“Except that he wanted to, in that crazy little spot in the back of his head that still thought he could outride a tornado and that telling about a dream before breakfast made it

Mhm, the story started out extremely good, funny and I instantly liked Todd. When Daniel came into the game I was a bit thrown by the course of everything. I didn't expect the things happening and the paranormal aspect of the story...

While both characters are quite likeable and the spell-thingy was intriguing I just didn't enjoy how they handled their friendship turning romance. It was fast and a bit irritating how everything happened. Most of all I think it's a shame that it was so short, rush

4.5 stars. Pretty much my only problem with this story is its length. Gosh, I wanted to know so much more about the Gifters and the Dune Walkers. I was left with questions, teeming with curiosity. And that is a sign of a good book. Yes, frustrating too. But good.

Todd’s a barista who one day meets Joshua, a curious fella with odd eyes, who gives him a surprise gift of love at first sight. Todd’s not a believer in magic, but he’s still afraid he’s gonna have some stranger falling for him—when his

Todd is a coffee shop Barista. One day he is visited by a handsome man that leaves him a ticket for Love at first sight. This bothers Todd because he has a thing for his neighbour Daniel and they have known each other for close to a year but just flirt. He confides in Daniel about the weird meeting and Daniel is a bit unhappy and wary since wishes don’t work on him and he is afraid to start anything with Todd that he will fall in love

sweet and with some nice dialogs but a bit confusing in a few bits, still a nice reading.
A nice short sweet read. Surprisingly Todd took everything that wasn't exactly normal happening around him in stride. Not to mention he wasn't even freaking out when Daniel told him about his secret. I like the ending, it brought a little smile to my face with how everything was fixed after Joshua's mistake.

I liked Joshua personality and I wouldn't mind seeing him with his own little story. Just sayin'

I don't know...something just didn't work in this story for me. Either the writing or the shortness, I don't know.
