I absolutely loved Let Love In & Let Love Stay and really was so excited about Melanie's book. This book was written totally different then the the previous two in the series. There was no alternate POV and it went back and forth from the past to the present. This story was more about Melanie's growth as an individual than it was the romance between Bryan and Melanie...more

I was fortunate enough to read this book before publication. Melissa Collins became a favorite author of mine when she gave us Reid and Maddy. This series is an addiction, pulling you in, Let Love Heal is no different.

Melanie, oh how I connected with this character. She's real. Like most women, I too, put on appearances at times, while my internal emotions churn with negative thoughts, I smile and put on the face of perfection. Insecurities reek havoc on the way you think of yourself, but also...more
ARC Review

I was gifted this book for an honest pre-release review from the author. I would have to say that Melissa pulled me into being a huge fan of NA from when "Maddy Met Reid" hahahah..... Her books are like wine, the get better with time.

It is a great experience when you are reading a book and it feels as if you are reliving your own life story. Melly Belly character brought to the surface the same things and feelings that I myself try to keep hidden. I was drawn in from the first chapter...more

The road to self-discovery is often a hard one; one that can only be traveled alone. Melanie Crane has come to that point in her life where hiding behind the façade she created long ago is no longer working. Her insecurities are getting the best of her and could possibly ruin her life before it even truly gets started.

“I just don’t get it, Melanie. I don’t understand why you don’t believe me. I’...more

Not all bruises leave a mark.

This short little sentence sums up Let Love Heal perfectly. What do you do when everyone around you thinks that you are perfect, but deep inside it is killing you, cutting you to pieces and the only way to survive is to bury it so far within yourself that it completely breaks you? Unbelievable. Amazing. Thought provoking. This book completely wrecked me. As I was reading, I wondered how much pain could one person take without just giving up on life? The author does a...more

I received this book as ARC from Ms. Collins. I have read the other two books in the Love series as well. I must say out of the three books that this one is my favorite. I love the character Melanie. I can see so many women in this one character. This book spoke to me on a personal level. I have not had a book do that before.

This book involves love, pain, hurt and most importantly love of yourself. Watching Melanie grow from this young woman full of self doubt to the loving caring person she be...more

Melanie's story deeply resonated with me. She was also in Let Love In and Let Love Stay. This book can be read as a standalone. I felt her desire to be perfect. I think this book is a must read for anyone.

*** I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. ***

Melissa Collins is probably one of my favorite authors. She consistently out does herself with every book she writes. I've had the pleasure of following her work and working with her since the very first LOVE book, and I am just so amazed how she can come up with such great stories.

This is my favorite book in the Love series so far. Melanie is one of my favorite literary characters of all time. I can really relate to Melani...more

Oh Melanie and Bryan. With the prologue come the tears! Let me start by saying that I loved this book. Like want to marry it and have little Bryan/Melanie babies love. But I have to admit that while I cheered for Melanie like no one else and did relate to her- I wanted to smack the crap out of her! She starts the book on a self destruct path that is painful to watch-but like a car accident you can’t look away. From moment one Bryan and M...more

This book is the first I have read from the author Melissa Collins and all I have to say is, I wasn't disappointed at all in the book that I read. I was happy, sad, angry, breathless, and completely enthralled with the characters in this book from the beginning. Melanie is a young woman who struggles with self love and acceptance of herself and she reflects the same thoughts and insecurities that most women at any age feel and struggle with. She is...more

I loved Mel in Maddy's books, She was the best friend every one wants! even when Maddy had Reid Melanie was always cheer leading for her.

We got tiny snippets about Mel and Bryan's relationship, they had some big hurdles to climb.

We never really appreciated Melanie's self loathing, she came over as a strong independent person! just shows how we all deceive everyone.

I fell in love with Bryan especially with how he fell for Mel, telling her how beautiful she is. she lacked confidence in herself, h...more

Okay, can we first discuss this cover? It is sick. It is dope. It is amazing! I cannot wait to order my signed copy from Melissa (you can on her blog) because this book is so beautiful, literally, inside and out.
So, let's get to the story. Finally. Finally we have a normal sized woman and a hot guy together. Finally, something we can connect with, but still fantasize with during those few sexy times.
In Let Love Heal, all women can connect with Melanie on some level. She is a girl coming into her...more
Tanya- The Book Obsessed Momma
This is Melissa's 3rd book in the LOVE series and it may be my FAVORITE to date! I loved the meaning and message being conveyed to us the reader.
Melissa knows how to tug at our hearts, make us sympathize with her characters, cry, laugh and much more while reading this book.

I love Melanie. Melanie is like a lot of women today. She is insecure, unsure of who she is, trying to be perfect and feels alone on the inside. When she meets Bryan in college she feels something for him. He tries to tell h...more
This book was an incredibly REAL read.

When is say REAL, I'm talking about the fact that Melissa Collins has given her readers a heroine who is your normal, average woman. Only Melanie isn't average, that's just how she sees herself. This character shows her insecurities of being a size 16, she has a negative self image and believes she is worthless. She can't see herself as everyone who loves her sees her and that is as a beautiful, intelligent, caring and loving woman. I felt such a strong con...more

Melanie has always been perfect, or at least that's what she's tried to portray. Always acting and doing what she perceives that others expect of her. No one realizes just how low her confidence is and truly no one knows the true Melanie. If ever a true Melanie even existed or exists. What happens though when she makes a mistake that makes her un-perfect in every way? Assumptions are dangerous things, especially when there is someone out there trying to make you believe things that aren't true i...more
This is a hard book for me to rate. I liked the story; I just could not connect with the heroine’s behavior toward certain things. I am not sure if it was because I knew what she did very early on in the story that made it hard for me to understand any of her feelings or thoughts. It was like anything she said or felt (remorse, etc.) meant nothing to me. For me, I think it would have been better if the story would have not started with the flashbacks. I think I would have preferred it to start i...more

I received an ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 3rd book in the Love Series from Melissa Collins but it can be read as a standalone. This is Melanie and Bryan’s story and what a story it is. I am a huge fan of Reid and Maddy from Books 1 & 2 in the series but Bryan and Melanie stole my heart. Their story was full of self-doubt, guilt, longing, forgiveness and most of all love.

The characters in this story are relateable. Melanie puts on a brave front...more
I read that Mel said she changed, but that pivotal part of the story is missing. I didn't read about how she changed, just that she did. I liked the story and the characters, I'm just missing parts. I adored Bryan.

Good series! 3.5 stars
Blog tour. Review to come.
I absolutely loved this book! Mainly, I loved that the main character, Melanie, is NOT perfect! I know, there are a lot of characters out there that are not perfect, but Melanie has this drive to BE perfect. She's a girl that isn't stick-thin, drop-dead gorgeous, or confident.

Melanie's struggle with her self-perception is one that is so common in today's youth. Our girls are being bombarded with advertisements telling them they need to look a certain way, dress a certain way, or talk a certain...more
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm so happy I could get this. I have to admit before I won an ARC I hadn't read the first two. I mean they were on my TBR pile and I had bought both, they were just waiting for me on my kindle. I absolutely loved Melanie's story.

Let Love Heal is Melanie’s story. We met Melanie in books one and two in the Love Series as Maddy’s best friend. Even though it’s not necessary to read Let Love In and Let Love Stay in order to read this one, I always suggest that people read all the books in a series, so that they have a better grasp of the general story line and all the characters.

Let Love Heal, book three in the series, goes way beyond than just being a love story. It’s about Melanie’s journey towards self-discovery and accep...more

So I was lucky enough to fall in love with these characters while reading the first books of the series. I met and loved Melanie as Maddy's BFF. I'll start off by saying I haven't read the first two books, but I felt like Let Love Heal is good as a standalone. It has a bit of reflecting on other characters, and the author did a good job keeping me up to date on things and not confusing me...so being a first time reader of this series, it stands alone well. That being said, I definitely want to read the first two, as I enjoyed Let Love Heal, and the characters.

Melanie feels that she is less than perfect. She doesn't always feel worthy. H...more

This is, by far, the best book in the Love Series. Melissa's writing gets better and better. With each book, one can see her writing evolve and improve... Now, I am not saying that she was ever not a good writer. I am saying she is evolving into an excellent writer!!!

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book.
